I haven't eaten fast food in 5 years but would you believe me. People all believe what they are told and claim all fat people are liars. I agree we have to be responsible but many are ending up fat even doing "everything that is right". Ok in my case I got two rare conditions going on, but all the disbelief almost cost me my life. I have so many foods crossed off the list, most thin people would be crying their eyes out even.Five Hundred Pound Peephttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05862707335431442713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-650289478442133391.post-55720707978510277632015-02-23T16:25:59.270-08:002015-02-23T16:25:59.270-08:00Ok, so I have to agree that being fat is a choice....Ok, so I have to agree that being fat is a choice. Now let me detail my thoughts on this...I'm sure there are very few, if any people that have the conscious though "I want to be 50, 80, 100 lbs., etc. overweight and feel like crap all the time". I don't think it is a choice that individuals actually strive for. However, choosing to eat too much, eat unhealthy foods like candy, chips, pop, fast food is just that, a choice. A person can choose to accept being fat, or a person can choose to do something about it. Of course it won't be easy and won't happen overnight, but by making the choice to be responsible for themselves a person accepts the challenges and makes the best of it. No one is perfect by any means, but we all have to be responsible for ourselves.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-650289478442133391.post-44235349323260614072014-10-27T06:46:32.750-07:002014-10-27T06:46:32.750-07:00Come on think this one out buddy. How many ex-fat ...Come on think this one out buddy. How many ex-fat people do you know? [and I am not just talking about the otherwise thin and healthy people who take 30 and 40 off as they age] Saying fat is a choice is ludicrous, there's no fat people who enjoy being fat especially in this society. I think everyone should do what they CAN, but there's plenty of people staying fat even doing so. Our bodies don't work like yours. I'd weight 100lbs if dieting and discipline and all that worked on me. I wish I could go run and walk it off. I have been so active for me the last few days, I'm ready to crash and burn, but it's not making me thin. I wish folks who were like you could see how someone like me lives and eats. I used to love to walk for miles.Five Hundred Pound Peephttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05862707335431442713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-650289478442133391.post-37244554374584862002014-10-26T12:37:35.304-07:002014-10-26T12:37:35.304-07:00Dude, just because they don't like the outcome...Dude, just because they don't like the outcome, doesn't mean that it wasn't a choice. It's called bad choices. No one in their right mind would choose to be an alcoholic, drug addict, or criminal either, but guess what? they ended up that way anyway, through bad choices. Saying that something is not a choice implies that the circumstance is beyond one's control and there is NOTHING one can do to change that fate. Last time I check, many fat people successfully lose weight through hard work and discipline, therefore, being fat is definitely is choice.
You don't have to be able to run 1mile to lose weight; if you can't run then walk. Btw, weight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise, so maybe you should start by looking at your diet first.

Only delusional fat people say that being fat is not a choice. Real people accept reality instead of making excuses, and they work hard toward improvement and many succeeded. I LOSE weight when I can afford all the food I want. Once when I was in Weight Watchers, we got a lot of money that month, forget why, but there was lots of cash for groceries and I lost the most weight eating all sorts of Tasty good food. I also lost 80lbs in college, during my sophmore year, remember my years in the 200s, going from high end 200s down to low end 200s, because there was a salad bar, and all the food I wanted, of all sorts. Isn't that weird? My weight gain happened when I was severely impoverished and food was very negotiable, some days only 1 or 2 meals which looking back makes it even more strange to me. I know they need to study adipose tissue and it's purpose more.Five Hundred Pound Peephttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05862707335431442713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-650289478442133391.post-88702051941870807512011-07-08T10:21:17.306-07:002011-07-08T10:21:17.306-07:00oprah also yo yo's like crazy to, exercise doe...oprah also yo yo's like crazy to, exercise does not thin one make it only tries to address the symptom side of the equation of obesity not the cause. I have known plenty of thin lazy people in my life.

what if the cause was not eating enough? not enough veggies, fruits, fiber and saturated fat? maybe we should be increasing calories not decreasing them? I mean heaven forbid anyone would recommend saturated fat as helping cure obesity. what would happen if people actually understood the purpose of adipose tissue? and that it is there to keep us alive against some type of damage/famine going on?

if they looked at fatness as a survival mechnism against almost immediate death then they would be looking in another location for the cure and by joe they might actually find it!

Rosarobrobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08543110396112149963noreply@blogger.com
