A friend took a picture of this on a girl's jacket at a punk concert some years ago. I don't advocate violence or riots but it made me laugh. I wish fat people would go and protest and yell the "Diets aren't working!" Remember I think all the focus on the acceptance of the fat itself and not the people has thrown help for fat people off the rails. Fat people are like the scapegoats of our society, not believed and invalidated when we tell them the diets have failed us. Everyone wants to be healthy.
Some "diet food" on market have chemical, GMOs, and poison, so they are not working. That fat blaming and fat hating attitude have to go! There are sick ultra-thin people who have diabetes and other illnesses that fat people have.
ReplyDeleteI agree those "diet" foods are bad. One thing I learned about "low-fat" food is they pour tons of sugar into it. I agree about the fat blaming no one is losing any weight. It is true some thin people get diabetes.
ReplyDeleteDear Peeps, the punk shop in this area has now plus-size (for real) women's dresses - and they're okay. Guess the owners of "Young Angry and Poor" (Lancaster PA) decided they needed to further their customer base. And people are getting fatter because food quality is getting slim to none.
ReplyDeleteYeah millennials especially eating ramen noodles and cheap fast food aren't going to be thin and they should open the customer base. I agree about the food. I plan to go break the bank for a treat today ordering a salad at a restaurant.
DeleteMy cousin had juvenile onset diabetes and it eventually killed him. He never stopped drinking and adjusted his insulin to compensate for his alcohol consumption. But he was as thin as a rail most of his life.
ReplyDeleteSounds like he had type 1, I have the evil type 2 kind. I was diagnosed diabetic in 2001. I never have been on insulin yet. I think type 1s are usually very thin. A friend told me if I become a brittle diabetic I should become thin, but I just never have seen this happen. I'm not into being blind either!
