Wealth Inequality: The Quiet Apocalypse

"Wealth Inequality: The Quiet Apocalypse"

He's got some good quotes in this one including one about this society honoring sociopaths more than poets! That's the truth. Americans are being crushed from the top and the whole system is designed to make you blame yourself and not realize the built-in lies. The Functional Melancholic goes into the spiritual aspects of what all this enforced poverty and austerity is doing to people as billionaires empty everyone's pockets and young people are thrown on the scrapheap.

The rest of the world considers the United States an evil joke now as they treat their own citizens like trash. They watch America set up their young people for decades of debt peonage via student loans, and then offer them no jobs or ways to make a living. Most think Americans are suckers. Just ask them. I talk to people from foreign countries all the time online.

Only super-stars and the connected are allowed to "make it". Many of the doors out are being closed too, my household knows firsthand, they are decimating the gig/remote employment world too. We are trying to run to the finish line where my husband will be able to go on Social Security due to age, it's close, he will still have to work some. Some used to be able to get through via grit and great ideas. A few probably still do. However false hopium doesn't help the majority. Hustle culture has it's draw backs. He's right about people being "brands" and not being seen as people and individuals anymore.

One thing about being poor they punish you for every dollar you make if you get any help so many people get in trap. That's the worse thing about most social programs.  Health care also is used to imprison you. That has served them well with an automatically captive audience.  I think about those joke COBRA notices we got a few times when husband got laid off, no one could afford that, and now middle class families are being told to pay insane amounts of money to insurance, like 2,000 a month. I was able to go off two medicines, and thought, "Good! That means less worries!"

Younger people are having their lives absolutely ruined, he goes into how things were different for older people and better and how the young people now won't be able to afford the basics like having a family or buying even a simple house. Some older people are probably scared to death for their children and grandkids.

The sad thing is most Americans are deceived. Trying to wake people up seems impossible as they have gaslighted people to death and convinced most of the suffering that it is their fault they "didn't make it".  That makes all the poverty harder to handle. All poor people are alone in it, and told they are losers and their fault they failed instead of examining a system designed to crush people. In my case, I never expected big bucks being disabled, but should I be forced to live in fear all these years? Why was that necessary?

One African American commenter on the video YouTube page is right about the systems oppressing us, and how people will call you a "conspiracy theorist" for talking about how this world really works. The job ads are mostly ghost ads, I've seen them for myself.

They don't get that the system is now designed for you to fail, get yourself to blame yourself for failing, and to enrich the top 1 percent. Think about the stat this vlogger repeats multiple times, that the 1 percent own more wealth than the bottom 50 percent, and think about what this has done to life quality here. Sadly the "embarrassed millionaires" a la Steinbeck via breads and circuses still believe the billionaires "care". No, they don't.  Wake up people. Get out of your stupor. Do you see Trump building any factories? Do you see them changing things to make YOUR life better instead of handing it all to their rich buddies? [both parties] They just see you as cattle to profit from. You think the people who unleashed Covid and covid vaxxes on people care about you or me? They don't.

The vlogger talks about the emotional aspects of poverty very honestly. That sense of panic that never goes away, so even during good times there's always worries in the background. I'm going to add in an article about housing too, you'll see how crazy stuff is now. Anxiety disorders, despair, and feelings of hopelessness are growing. One wishes for a "drop-out movement" away from the system. I have ideas that I don't have the health to carry about.

Maybe working class and poor people need to form resource groups to share needed things, share meals, and more. You know the things churches used to do before most of the churches were all bought off and sold out to the ruling class and globalists? This is why even the Unitarian Universalist Association, doesn't care about the economic chasm that most of America is falling into, why they push extreme identity politics. Hmm some may say turn to the evangelicals, Nope, no dice there either, they are busy worshipping the right wing that just gave themselves more tax cuts, while cutting more medical care and money for rural hospitals.

Is anyone looking out for people here? Anyone in power? Probably not. Maybe the only answer now is to look out for ourselves the best we can and focus on local communities if we have them. Sadly, far too many people trust in the psychopaths abusing and exploiting this country. I'm not sure why this is taking so long to change. They own the media so can keep the brainwashing going and have.

It's a good video, please take time to watch it.
