FINALLY AN ANSWER AFTER 17 YEARS!
I was diagnosed with lipedema today.
For 17 years I wanted to know why I had that 400lb weight gain in 28 months.
I have both lipedema and lymphedema--lipo-lymphedema together.
This means I have a different kind of fat cells-hyperplasia of them along with as the lymph specialist explained a broken down lymphatic system. Hormonal disorders such as thyroid and PCOS are known to go with this disorder as well.

do you have lipedema and cushing's?
ReplyDeleteI have lipedema stage IV, otherwise known as lipo-lymphedema, because stage IV, lymphedema sets in too. With Cushings, I have tested as having high cortisols before, and was diagnosed as having pseudo Cushings years go. I had normal cortisols this year. I am still diagnosed with PCOS/ I found out that with lipedema there can be multiple hormonal problems including high cortisols.

It has been hard in some ways because lipedema has no cure, just maintenance and Cushings at least tumor caused has more chance of a cure.
