Smakintosh: A Hatred Without Cause

Narcissists do hate without a cause. It is good that scripture addresses this. Many ACONs have asked themselves why do narcissists hate them so much? With our own parents, we asked ourselves why were we so hated? I was hated by a very young age. When I was just 4 years old, I remember my mother shoving me away and knowing she despised me to the core of her being. Many of us have faced this. There are people who gave me smiles and grins and were great actresses even for a while who turned out to despise me too same as my mother. Many of us live under the weight of this hatred, and Smakintosh wisely warns us of what scripture states here, that hating without cause is a condition of the wicked. We have to stop blaming ourselves when a narcissist hates us.

Many of them hate us with no cause. I have been hated. I'm having a time in my life where I never have had so many enemies, but one will create enemies once they walk out of the narcissistic fog. You start standing up for yourself.  You end what you thought were "friendships". You alter some relationships forever. You stop putting up with endless criticism and being put down. You confront and then walk, and their hatred grows. They never apologize, they never try to make amends, they only speak of their own "rightness" and "superiority" in their moral narcissistic darkness. One thing for me to add to the red flag list as a warning for predators, is stay away from people who never apologize or admit they are wrong and always focus on your faults.

I have a lot of enemies now. I am staying away from them and hope they stay away from me. I want peace in my life. I won't be silenced on my blog however warning of narcissists or other ACONs that they need to get away. Those bible verses of the wolves surrounding a person, it can feel that way.

You start taking out the narcissistic trash and the numbers of narcissists that surround you can be shocking. A real friend or loved one is someone who stands up for you, those that seek to destroy you are only out to hurt out of their own envy and "hatred without cause."  We must get away from them. Us ACONs can be prone to narcissists entering our lives due to our upbringing, clearing your life of them can be quite a process.

With my mother, if I had a loving one, things would have been completely different, same for others who decided they hated my guts without cause. There is spiritual darkness to someone who hates an innocent child and even spiritual darkness to the narcissists who decide no one is good enough and who spend their lives ripping people to shreds to elevate themselves. Some of these people even call themselves Christians which is even more frightening.

Did any of you ever ask yourselves, "What did I ever do to this person?" I have asked it when it came to narcissists many times. The fact of the matter is we didn't do anything. Some just hate to hate.

  1. It never ceases to amaze me. The very fundamental aspects of a person, is to be completely and utterly depraved. I had a "friend' once who, well, when I told her of my favorite color, the emptiness/angry look she gave me was terrifying. i don't think she would appreciate color or anything. A fashionista she was but never because she was attached to those things she bought, only that she gets prestige from them. I don't think she ever had a favorite cozy sweater or enjoyed anything. These people are exactly what he says they are. Not that I am feeling sorry for them, but I can see more and more exactly what they are all about. Just empty, and yes they did choose it. They chose to be this horrible person, imagine that.

I agree when he says that non-Christians can be more moral, spiritual than the MN pastor.

And this hatred without cause, is strange. I can remember my mother looking at me with hatred in her eyes. I'd be this little kids telling her this good news or story, and she would look at me with this immense hatred. It really is a spiritual issue. They are just nothing really. Money, prestige, what does it even mean to them? It means nothing to them, unless they get to use it to exploit and hurt others. I am getting the whillies.

    1. That's scary about your fake friend staring at you that way Joan. Well she doesn't care about your favorite color, since fashion is a vehicle for her for narcissistic supply. Yes they are empty. I agree about the non-Christians being more moral and spiritual then NM pastors or fake N "Christians". I remember cold staring hateful looks from my mother. Facebook was an eye opener because I would see her standing next to others and smiling, in people's photos. I was never looked at that way only with hatred.

  2. Dear Peeps, it seems like the difference between "nice" unregenerate people and narcs is the Lord's restraining grace on the former, and Him letting go the reins from off the latter.

    1. I agree. I'll take a nice unsaved person over a reprobate narc anyday.

  3. Funny how we can sometimes remember things from early childhood. I remember once when I was 3 years old, my dad was at work on the "graveyard shift" and I was home alone with my mother. She put me in her bed to watch Wizard of Oz (they had a TV in their bedroom back then). I remember sometime during the movie she brought me a little saucer. It had a little silver bead rolling around on it. She said "look at this". She told me it was mercury from a thermometer that she had broken. She poked it with her finger and made it break up into a bunch of little balls and then gave it to me to play with. She said casually while leaving the room "don't swallow it, it's poisonous". ????? I was THREE YEARS OLD. Why I still remember this I don't know. But I do. I did play with it and I didn't swallow it (by the grace of God, because I swallowed pennies, nickles and all kinds of things back then and she knew it.) I almost wonder if she wanted me to ingest the mercury which is one of the most toxic substance known to man. But she had to tell me (3 years old) that it was poisonous and not to swallow it before leaving the room so that if I did, it was NOT HER FAULT. WHO gives POISON to a 3 year old to PLAY WITH and leaves them alone with it??? And I remember when I was around 4 or 5 she got a video camera and would taunt me in ways I don't remember what she did to me but she would cause me to throw a tantrum and bang my head on the floor or concrete patio, etc. and film me while laughing about it. So yes obviously the woman hated me. At a very early age. If I could just forgive myself for not seeing it much sooner than I did.

    1. Wow your mother tried to murder you! :( She wanted to make it an accident and say, oh she broke the thermometer. I remember seeing loose mercury now when you told me this story but can't remember the context now. Giving that to a three year old is dangerous. I am glad you did not swallow it and in the context of you swallowing those others things which by the way shows more neglect, she definitely was trying to set you up. I had set ups too, like the locks on the OUTSIDE of our bedroom doors, and the weirdness of her laughing about a hired babysitter locking us in our rooms for an entire weekend. Filming your tantrums is very sick. yeah she hated you. I remember being shoved away at a very young ago and told "Go away!" Yeah I was hated very young too. I think the untreated asthma in my teens was pretty serious, all the medical neglect. Some won't do things direct always but hope there will be an "accident" or "illness" which will get rid of who they see as the "problem".

    2. I knew mine hated me early on but have to forgive myself for sticking around so long to change the wench's mind. What a waste of time that was. Then the belief that if I was rich enough or lost weight or "succeeded" that she would love me.
