The Life and Times of a 500 Pound Woman.
With the advent of the iphone, I think we are being indoctrinated into being extras in the matrix movies.
I feel like that too. WIth the matrix the secret is, both the red and blue pill are poisonous and I thought the real world behind the matrix sucked. I mean if we all live in a computer program, or something, why did the outer "real" world look a boring hell? I kept thinking those tubes stuck in everyone's head look like a form of mind control and I'd be looking for the way out of the outer layer world too.
This is sad about public school system. They are teaching Common Core and making students eating Michelle Obama approved GMO-laced tasteless gruel and very small portion of some cracker, rabbit food, and food that look unappetizing. Many students hate her cafeteria lunch program so they throw tasteless food in trash and spend the rest of their school days hungry. When they got home, they grabbed a big meal of real food, if their parents have them. The helmet attached to some tentacles reminds me of some scenes in "Invasion from the Outer Space" movie or something like that. Or maybe the Indoctrination of Children by Narcs.
Common Core math is a nightmare isnt it? I hate Common Core and was almost flunked in college for saying I hated Outcome Based education, its earliest form and saying it did not apply to art education. I almost got weeded out. I had to retake the class with another professor and was flunked for ideology and even made complaints to the ombudsman. The school food is atrocious, they are too cheap to feed children, vegetables, meat and whole foods you see other nations feed them, so they give out some cheap crackers, low calorie carbs and unfilling foods. So yes they have to go home and eat. The helmets with tenacles also denote the total brainwashing. I believe they have destroyed arts and other fields because they want as little independent thinking as possible, so creative thinking fields are out. As an art teacher I faced prejudice against all creativity. Even having an art program at the juvenile home was not well received by all. It was like I lived in Pleasantville or something.
Anon. I live in Texas, the home of no child left behind. It seems like they base raises and salaries to the kids scores on the tests. So human nature being what it is they all "teach to the test" If it isn't on the standardized test they don't cover it. I have a step daughter that asks me questions about her school work and it amazes her that I know things out side of that spectrum. I knew that the Korean conflict was an undeclared war and that they called Vietnam a police action. I guess I wasn't supposed to know the terminology that the government used to sell it to the American public. I didn't learn it as much as almost living it.
You got it, all rote teaching to the test so the schools get more federal money too. There's been scandals of cheating and more, so the tests come out better. There is nothing creative either, and no real thinking or practical skills being taught. Don't get me started on Common Core. They teach a lot of lies too and altered history. One can be sure they sell the "war on terrorism" now as necessary [the forever never ending war with Oceania] and all the propaganda. I suppose a real independent thinking history or current events teacher would be fired. I would lose my job telling the high school students to go read "Shadows of Power" and even question that.
