The Herd

7 comments:

  1. I wish I had always known it was their issue, not mine. That is all I needed I think. I read a lot on how to not seek approval and what that means. One very important thing to realize is that responsiveness in relationships is paramount to ever being happy with the opposite sex. But how could we be that if it would have been a death sentence growing up.

  2. I don't know how true this is but someone told me you marry one parent and become the other. Metaphorically speaking.

    1. That's interesting Q. I thought of that once and I think its the herd mentality. I mean, if everyone was authentic, then that wouldn't happen, they would become who they were born to be. And no one is the same, we are all so different. In this society, everyone is expected to be independent, but in reality, they are becoming the same.

    2. I don't think I believe that, I'm not like either and didn't marry one either. It is the herd mentality, some people follow their parents in everything, religion, politics and the rest never examining anything. It is the herd mentality. I think people are becoming more the same now too Joan.

    3. Talking about herd mentality, did you hear about the PEZ Easter egg hunt, organized for children and ruined by "parents". PEZ organized three fields by age group and the "parents" ran into all three fields, even before the start of the event and bullied and shoved small children, even taking eggs out of their baskets. The event had to be called off shortly after the start.

And some of these people have the gall to criticize PEZ, saying they should have expected such behavior and were disorganized. Talk about shameless narc behavior and blaming everyone except the guilty.

It's time "parents" were reined in. I am tired of the parent worship cult; they are not above all questioning. They usually behave badly at kids' sports events too and should be totally excluded from all children's sports events. Because the good "parents" aren't as good as they think they are and only look good compared to the bad "parents" who they do nothing to control.

    4. I'm tired of the parents cult too. Some of them breed and think they achieved the cure for cancer by having sex and getting pregnant which millions of others do. That event sounds sad, pushing little kids out of the way, like they never will see chocolate or candy or eggs again. Well some are so crazily competitive, that is all that counts.

    5. In my family by the way not breeding lowered me down many notches. Even my brother told me my mother thought I wasn't worth the time because I never had children. They didn't care that this was health and other circumstancial induced reality.
