Sadly Humans Choose Status....

Is this true? Maybe for many narcissists in a narcissist society.

When you see someone always defending the wicked and higher status people and never the underdog Run! It is interesting to see who people identify with. Many ACONS will attest that especially for scapegoats we were left standing alone as our families and others all sided with our abusers. As I have written here, I have had to part ways from my entire family. Why? Because they sided with the narcissists. The narcissists have money, status and power. I do not. This is a reality of this world. I've seen too many siding with those who have status to not know this a reality. My status in American society is very low, and many treat people according to their status.

Sadly there is something implicit in human beings where they desire to side with who they view as being the "winners" and holding status.

There is a reason the most sociopathic rise to the top, all we have to do is look at who may win the presidency to know this is a sad human trait.  The power man, the one who has vaniquished his enemies by hook or crook who has shown the most toughness and obtained the top of the pyramid is the most respected. Once I had someone claim who is out of my life now, that I denied narcissists their humanity. Which is odd, since I gave one main narcissist time and time again to show me some humanity but never got to see any whatsoever.  Do narcissists worry about humanity as they climb to the top? Whey are so many invested in assuring me they are soft Teddy-Bears? When I presented art projects for my main narcissists and vied for their love and acceptance, wasn't I searching very hard for the humanity and supposed "niceness" inside that others assured me was there?

Whey are they to be given endless chances, excuses and more? It is interesting to me how most go running to defend narcissists. My theory is that they hold higher status, and there is some kind of implicit biological or other element in human beings, one we would hope would be over-ruled by a moral element where the narcissist often comes out on top. How many times do we see narcissists run rampant over families, organizations. How do they obtain this power? I believe it is status-driven.

We live in a society where hardness, coldness and wickedness are honored and defended first. People lie to your face and think nothing of it.  Mind games will be played on people who try to tell the truth about narcissism and who speak out against evil. How do you think narcissists earn so much loyalty and stand out on top? It's status. For those of us who write about narcissists, and who are scapegoats and ACONs who got out, we are questioning the entire status quo. Some don't like this.

What do you think of these theory?

Matt 20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

  1. I agree with you. we live in a sick society where all that is valued is education, status, wealth, looks and athletic ability.
I feel sad for our nation when I think that Donald Trump will likely be our next President...a true Narcissist! I believe that Bernie Sanders is a decent man that truly wants to help people but I don't think he has a very good chance to win.
I, too, consider myself a low status person in our society...no college degree, overweight, low income (even though my husband is self-employed and works very hard!) and have always pretty much been a homemaker. That's all I really ever wanted to be. But staying home and taking care of children and a home are not highly valued here in this country. ( even within the church!)

    1. Yeah this place is getting sick, and scary. Trump frightens me to the point that if I was not disabled and could work, I would be thinking of leaving the country right now. I do believe there will an exodus. I don't agree with Bernie on everything but he does seem to be a normal person who believes in some of his ideals even who still has a conscience but Trump definitely does not. I don't think Bernie is going to win. The dreams of a new Roosevelt are dead. The globalist slave society marches on. I wonder if people will remember this era as when America started to decline rapidly.

Sorry you deal with being low status too, yes it's hard, low income, overweight. My husband is self employed too so you know what that is like. I try to cook him good meals so he is happier, he had to go to meetings to cover them in last few days. He is a very busy person, and has to do caretaking responsibilities for me too. I try and to cook and do the home maker stuff I can, though I am not so good at it he at least gets some decent meals. Yeah why is society so down on homemarkers and people who do contract work--the work world is rapidly changing to lower paid contract work especially in my husband's field. Yes even the churches all praise the career women.

  2. Dear Peeps and Friends, i am an "underachiever" and so was a bully-magnet. But i agreed with the bullies, that they were better people than i. Only a few years ago, did i discover that the Lord detests worldlings' brownie-point (status) systems. Yeah i may have failed stupidly in life, but it's eternity that i am most concerned with. The status-seekers can all blow it out their yin-yang.

    1. Yep welcome fellow "underachiever" Sue. LOL Yeah I know what being a bully magnet is all about. Yes the Lord does detest the worldlings brownie point status systems. I hope eternity is different, this world is wearing me out and many others fast I am sure.

  3. Actually, it's the Narc who denies their own humanity and does so willfully and at horrible expense to those around them. Telling others they have somehow denied the Narc what ever it is they feel they "deserve" is nothing more than Projection on their part.

    1. I agree. They shut down all humanity in themselves and make others suffer. It's usually enablers playing the "you have denied the narcissists humanity" game.

  4. I think status was more important at the time people lived in tribes, but this status was based on actual accomplishments. You'd want to be on the side of someone who could provide in ways of compassion, resources etc. I've seen non-sociopathic people be leaders and its wonderful, they can communicate with others and get things done, or, especially the women be very compassionate. We turn to these types of people for they seem to have it together in ways that we can't. But I speak in terms of when people are not status driven but more about status being the stronger person. I mean for a certain thing, I think we can all be leaders, just for different things.

But I've seen people's "perception" of narcs is that they are that way. That they are go-getters able to get things done. But it is a rare moment I've seen a narc accomplish anything but screw people over, but other people non-Acons see them as strong. Its terrible.

But I think status is important, and I think you too Peep have very good leadership skills, even in your condition, and can talk and lead a group of people like yourself. They are looking for someone and its hard to find. But you do lead in Lipedemia and help with education on those types of issues. Even standing up in being bullied. Even if its just on the internet, we all have to live with our limitations, but you make the best of things. And really, what is status but a perception. And we all need a certain level of status. For feeling like we are enough. But you choose the status, unfortunately, like you said, in our families we were scapegoats.

I follow a strong woman online who has helped me through my relationship issues. She teaches things that no one else does, and I don't know where she gets it from. I'm guessing that one day she decided to teach on these things, and she does it all online. Many women have turned their lives around all because of it.

Sorry, can't keep my thoughts straight sometimes, but I don't think status is a bad thing necessarily, we just have to get people to stop thinking so highly of narcs and their um capabilities.

    1. I agree Joan, you are right not all status is bad, there are situations where people do need to take charge and some good leaders. There is the positive attributes of leaders but narcs don't fit those. Narcs if anything ruin organizations and those they are leading. The country is on fire from narcs and sociopaths leading the show. Dictators pull the place down into a heap.

Thanks for saying I have leadership skills Joan :) Maybe in alternative fashion?

I'm kind of out there on my own but people are definitely reading what I have to say.

You are right one could define status in the positive way of meaning something, and being somebody. Too many narcs want to take away the good status of others to build themselves up.

  5. Anonymous.....In general Narcs lie about what they do, so in my book that means it's willful. If they didn't think their actions were wrong they wouldn't lie about them. So their innocent act is contrived and deliberate.

    1. Yes it is deliberate. They know what they are doing even as they backstab and smear. It's not by accident not by any means.

  6. A question here peep. If rich kids can get off of intoxication manslaughter charges by claiming to have affluenza. Can I go stab my ex wife and claim I was broke-a-leptic?

  7. That's him! we have Dallas and we have Fort Worth and the towns in between we call the mid cities and Burleson is one of the towns in between. I think he got probation. Or maybe shock probation in Texas they will give you 6 months in real prison and then let you go and give you regular probation for like 10 years or so.

    1. Wow that's creepy. I always saw Texas except in the case of your mother, as a hard on crime place. Maybe some counties are different. His parents probably were wealthy or connected or something....for him to get such an easy sentence.

  8. I actually think narcs are not the big achievers they think they are. A lot of them get handed things, or they cheat and steal there way to their status. They are fakers and takers.
They are so full of it and totally lack empathy. But sadly most people don't see it. My family are all narcs and they stand together with the abuser, against me. But they also are prone to eating their own.. The wheat and the tares. It will all be sorted out in the end.
