Salad 2

Enjoyed this salad the other day. I couldn't barely afford it, it was from a local Greek diner but it was worth it in taste! It was great and had grilled chicken breast, blue cheese, a boiled egg, a little bit of bacon, tomato, raisins, chopped pecans and some other vegetables. There's another restaurant where I've had their salad that includes tomatoes, avocado, green onions, chicken, some cheese, green and red peppers and grilled corn that is really good. I try to make salads at home too. Who Loves Salad? I do

  1. I usually chime right in with your posts but I don't do salads. Especially not with hard boiled eggs. It makes me think of a quirk I picked up from being raised by a lunatic. Don't ask me how/why but my mother never made me eat condiments. I don't know if she was cheap or it took time away from her promiscuity but I am an adult and if I order a hamburger I get it meat bread and cheese and nothing else. Not even Ketchup on french fries. Over all it was probably healthier but that's not why my mother didn't push me into eating them.

    1. Yeah with a crazy person about who knows what she would put in a salad, too easy to hide some bugs or something :p That is interesting you never had condiments, I wonder if she never bought you any ketchup, mustard or mayonnaise and that was the real deal, probably too cheap and not a pickle or tomato in the house to put on the hamburger. You probably got used to more simple food. This salad was an elaborate one for me, something where to buy all the ingredients would put me more behind then just getting it on rare occasion.

    2. My Brother in law was telling her about how there is an allowable level of roach detritus in peanut butter. ( it's true ) but I heard about it for the rest of her life.

    3. Oh gross yeah I have read about the allowable amount of rat hair and cockroaches before. It's pretty gross. Ugh. Sometimes better not to know things.

  3. For me a salad is lettuce, tomato, and cucumber. Anything more and I start picking. lol And I don't get blue cheese at all, its supposed to be moldy. I guess I'm just in a funny mood today.

    1. Blue cheese is a rare thing for me LOL. I don't ever eat it at home. I guess I don't look at it too close :p

  4. Yeah what is that called Occam's razor? The easiest explanation is the right one. It probably freed up a few pennies that she could eventually give to my ex wife.
