10 Reasons Why Asians Don't Get Fat


The cold water slows down digestion theory is interesting. There is also something to be said for gut health and all the fermented foods. I want to introduce more fermented foods to my own diet.

  1. Hello Peep, With my keto diet I have added Sauerkraut(sp?). Let me tell you it is nasty. I can tolerate the kind with dill or garlic, but the kind in the big jar is awful. I may branch out the kimchee at some point but I am still trying to get to like or at least not hate the sauerkraut. So that is my foray into fermented foods. Yikes.

    1. Sauerkraut can be strong. One way I used up some food pantry sauerkraut is I made stuffed cabbage and mixed in the sauerkraut. It's good with bratwurst but then that scales down the good health effects says the woman [me] who can get kidney stones from eating just one of those suckers. LOL I know I need to find better fermented foods too.
