"It's Something Else"

I agree with this poster. It is something else. The food is so full of chemicals it's scary. You wonder what they are putting in things. There's more reports of people moving to Europe and eating the same amount of food and losing weight. I'm having to cook from scratch a lot, for the sake of gluten free. Food isn't always perfect as I sometimes have to get what is available in food boxes and food pantries, however I make sure everything is gluten free.

One thing I am noticing lately, is processed food makes me sick almost immediately. That worsened. These foods were even gluten-free and I still got ill. Processed food is rare for me but something I have to approach with major caution. I do have to cook more since going gluten free, and this includes odd foods like buckwheat flour which is gluten free. Yesterday I made rice noodles with chicken and veg and made a garbanzo bean curry with Indian spices and yogurt at lunch.  Cracker Barrel is one restaurant, that I had to stop eating at years ago, because of health effects I had. I didn't eat there too often, but once got some coupons there, in a contest. Burger King for me, means instant illness, I ate a chicken sandwich there about 15 years ago and it was a nightmare. There is something really wrong with our food.

They are on to something with American's not just being fat but swollen. Our lives here are inflammatory to the max.

I weighed 482 last week. Most people would probably have lost 100lbs from gluten free/food reduction from food insecurity. Obviously my metabolism has never been normal, at least the weight is not going up. I have hunger pain now and I ate eggs with mushrooms and gluten free bread at breakfast.  CICO to me, is still a joke. Other people with Celiac disease have told me, the intestines can take a year to heal. I am still eating gluten free and hit the 6th month marker. My kidney stones are far far less. My blood pressure has come down. My digestion did change and become more regular though I can still get IBS. It dropped the A1C too.
