Took the Bus

I figured out my bus problem, I needed to inform them I was an ADA passenger so I could schedule rides a day ahead of time and did, and that worked a lot better! Years ago I took the Dial A Ride in my old town and this one works the same way. It worked out pretty well today. Well now I will be able to get out a little bit and easier during my non-housebound times.

  1. The one single thing I have left intact is my ability to drive. In all honesty I probably shouldn't because my "stroke like" event left me with a serious case of left neglect, but I just look to the left a jillion times before I take a right and leave nothing to chance and so far so good. I don't have to renew my license until 2022 and with any luck I'll be dead by then.

    1. I'm glad you can still do it with the left neglect, just be careful Do the mirrors help? I'd be avoiding left turns too. Hope you still around in 2022! That's not that long away. [yeah I feel old saying that] Remember when they told us we wouldn't make it through 2000. I'm glad for bus and started using it knowing our car is getting old.

    1. Thanks Joan, I am relieved. This means being able to survive for me. We have kept the car going but if we can't at least now I know I can survive. I always make sure to live on bus lines or bus coverage areas.
