I unfriended a lot of Republicans. I found myself wondering if any of them would come back and apologize but I doubt it. Maybe if the country collapses, and the bodies pile up on the street corners or there's no more government that is actually elected, maybe one or two will think back to what I used to talk about. Why is open sedition and such evils supported by half the population? They don't care about democracy, they want to "own the libs" and want to dominate, and now America is in in big time danger. I don't know if Biden is standing down, hoping to avoid worse troubles from the crazies. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt for now, but I worry, because you see, I have seen toxic sociopaths get their way far too often. They don't care about lying, cheating, or doing what it takes and they always have lots of brainwashed followers to help them.
In the past, I've voted Republican, I'm ashamed to say. But now, No Way that party is dead to me. It needs to go the way of the Whigs. We need (need?) the Dems to represent the right right of center and a Progressive or Socialist Party to represent the people.

Thanks I am OK, just got behind on internet stuff. I am glad the Republican party is dead to you now. We definitely need new party options. I think the Republican party has to die, not enough rich people to keep it going and boomers are starting to die off. Of course there's still lots of Stockholm victims voting for them.

ReplyDeleteHe has so much support too. Literally millions and millions of people voted for him, even though he has such a long list of crimes. And now they support him even more, and don't even believe in democracy anymore.
The results have been certified, and they're still going to try and object to them on January 6th. They will not stop this. It's like Trump is the modern day Napoleon.
Even if he loses on January 6th, this is never going to end. He'll delegitimize everything and will basically start a new anarchy. And then he'll probably announce his 2024 run.
When he got elected in 2016, I never imagined that things would be like this. That they would never end. He doesn't even need to be President, he already has a gigantic fanbase and support system that donates millions of dollars to him.
I can't imagine what kind of damage this will do to America in the longrun. The system is broken and far from perfect, but Trump took everything to a new extreme.
He's basically trying to be a dictator...and it's working. He promotes all these alternative news media sites on his Twitter and they're slowly gaining millions of viewers. And the main media outlets are losing millions of viewers due to Trump constantly denouncing them.
It's almost like he's trying to make America his own nation. It's so psychotic. But it's working, and I just don't understand how that's possible. It's actually working...why? Why does no one care about how crazy he is?
Keep in mind that Germany was the most cultured country in Europe at one time. It was where you went if you were a scientist, a poet, a playwright, etc. Then they all fell for a bloviating buffoon with a weird hairstyle, a heroin-addicted blimp with an ass the size of a cart horse's (Goering) and a near-dwarf who posited that he was the Superman (Goebbels) and all these intelligent people fell in line with this clown act. They were perfectly willing to send their nice Jewish neighbors to the death camps, they were perfectly OK bayoneting babies in E. Europe, and so on.

Things have gotten far worse than I ever dream too and I resisted Trump as soon as he came on the scene. At this point I think half of America has a death wish and want death, destruction and war. They have made their desires clear to us. I wrote about this in a new article I posted. Even when Trump is gone, these Repukes will still try to install Gilead and will choose a bigger and badder and smarter fascist to lead the charge. One thing with Trump, his mostly narcissistic followers LOVE THAT HE IS ASSHOLE AND A BULLY. I lived around enough narcissists and sociopaths to know the biggest respect and attention went to the baddest Mother you know what in the room. They will fall over themselves too. This is why history gave us Hitler, Stalin and a long other list of malignant narcissists. American democracy is teetering on the edge. A weak sold out DNC, is only going to give a little time. I believe fascism is going to be the future here.

DeleteThings have gone psycho in my state, the virus is out of control. The governor who had all mandates removed by the Supreme Court then used the health department to install some, well now they are trying to remove those mandates, things slowed down a little but hell is already here. We have been told the hospitals have no room for any emergency cases. Imagine how that makes a disabled person feel like me and get this the people around here [outside my liberal enclaves like the UU] are all against the lock downs and more.
I am trying to talk husband into leaving the country, he could get citizenship elsewhere but I know we have struggled to survive so long he is burnt out and learning a new language and taking care of a disabled wife at this advanced age as I wrote in that one article would be very difficult. I rue the day I was born in this hellpit to my hellpit family. I don't have anyone to talk about this stuff in the real world, I either got Repuke retardos around me or nice liberal people who believe Biden is going to save the day and I would just upset them.
