The Unitarian Universalist Church Controversy: When Your Church Goes So Woke You Can't Bear It.

the environment is being ruined but I don't think these globalists are going to fix anything, they'll just charge us money for carbon credits and ruin our lives using "climate" to do it.

There's some weird controversies happening in the Unitarian Universalist church lately.

If my UU church goes independent from the globalists and woke "ideologues", that would be a positive development to me. At a recent church meeting, most said they were concerned about the changes the UUA or Unitarian Universalist Association wants to make to the church articles. I worry though they will "work" on people via consensus training and get them to give in.  Sometimes I hope they will break off from the UUA. There's a new group called the North American Unitarian Universalist Association.

This sounds good,

"We are dedicated to courageously fostering and protecting the principles and practices of liberal religion: reason, tolerance, democratic process, freedom of conscience, freedom of speech and expression, and the inherent worth and dignity of all people."

I've remained in the Unitarian Universalist church for now [my husband is happy there] though Covid has ruined things too. Some may be surprised I haven't switch to another church at this point. I'm not sure what the future holds. I do question a lot religiously lately. I am politically homeless. I'm already skipping services I don't agree with. I'm no longer the same person. Religion is complicated. The other day I told my husband, "I ruined religion looking under the hood too much, the "simple faith" people seem a lot happier. That just wasn't me."

I know your regular evangelical/fundamentalist church isn't going to do it for me ever again. I didn't fit in that world either.  Being childless and disabled, it was like I was a permanent "lesser adult". At least the UUs have treated me more like a human being. That good will has kept me in longer but so much got messed up.

There are things I like about the UU church, they are supportive of arts, jibe with my interest in gardening, and have open discussions, and interaction. I can talk about things there no other church would find acceptable. There's fellow artists, writers and academics, I had endless joyful times with. There were lectures that were intellectually stimulating, fun art projects, mindfulness classes, and other things. Being involved in the UU church from around 2016-2020, was full of happy moments. I didn't expect perfection, I knew the class issues would remain and more but there was a lot I enjoyed and there are many fond memories.

This blog is full of the hundreds of reasons why I left the evangelical world. Mainstream Christianity probably isn't going to do it for me ever again.

However, I don't like the "woke stuff". There's things I don't agree with. As society and the left go deeper into madness, it's given me obviously an identity crisis. I'm not going to the right either of course, the bootstraps aren't there for me.

There was the huge problem with the majority of my present church joining the Covid madness and not questioning the vaxxes.  That was extremely rough on me and remains an issue.  They were told my views about transhumanism but don't know the depth of horror I have regarding recent events.  I have felt so alone in my feelings and outlooks. One thing I noticed is when I brought up anything Covid related, they were silent. Some here may say maybe they got sick of you talking about it, but I talk about it online far more than I do in real life.

Some of class divisions got harder to bear, no one was being mean or anything like that but as so many had travel and other things to escape to, my prison walls just got higher. There's times I feel like I made a mistake leaving the fundamentalists, don't take me wrong here, my views about a lot of it hasn't changed, but I thought, at least in most fundamentalist churches, there would be more people agreeing with me about what happened.

The only churches in this entire community that don't support the vaxxes are one Word of Faith church, that does faith healing I cannot condone and would be a nightmare for a disabled person, and one church that joined the local anti-Covid group that ended up being a GOP PAC group and is extremely political for right wing politics. I told my husband if the UU doesn't work out, this may be "it" for churches for me anyhow. He wants to stay in, so we compromised, and I have gone to services on Zoom on topics I am interested in, and stuck with the arts/gardening parts of everything.

I also have had some of the changes in religious belief. Most UUs aren't sitting around wondering if bible prophecy is coming true or believing transhumanism is a danger to mankind. Some UUs are Christians so there are some thinking about Jesus Christ and other things I ponder. The UU church seems to be the only one in this area where one can have freedom of belief and ask questions. Trust me over 10 years, I visited so many churches, I got so weary of control freak pastors. Things were so bad in this town, the pastors here didn't even allow any independent bible studies, they ran them all and there was no discussion time ever. The churches were impersonal. Unlike my former community, the churches here were wealthier, and the demands for money were pretty intense. I never tithed, some got checks and donations from me, but this was one reason, I never had official membership in any church except with the UUs where you could choose the amount of your donations. Of course now sinking under the economic waves again--more on that later, even pledging to the UU seems beyond our present means. People don't realize most poor people today end up dropping out of churches.

With the Unitarian Universalist church, we have only had Zoom contact in three years and that's not the same. A lot of people left and new ones have come in I've never met. I'm doing gardening there probably again this year and they are very supportive of my artistic endeavors and those are positives, but I've been gone so long, I don't feel like a full member of the church anymore. I asked my husband about going back, [we could wear masks] but he's still nervous about sitting in a room full of people for a few hours. We would hear about people getting Covid too, where they told the congregation and that made us gun-shy too. Once there was someone visiting who said, "Oh my spouse has Covid" but they are saying this unmasked.

I do struggle over if I belong there anymore but have decided to wait until Covid is over not wanting to make decisions under the duress of all this, and husband wants to stay in. There's things I still like about it thought Zoom participation is equal to being a person who moved away long ago and you are keeping some contact with emails and phone calls.

However I want to talk about something happening in the UU as a whole. Some may ask why are you trying to bore us with your liberal church's political infighting but I decided to post this because I want people to see how institutional capture works. It also is a microcosm picture of where our society is going. It will show you how so many things in our society are now being ruined. There seem to be elitists now who want to silence everyone and shut them up and not allow free discourse. This got really bad with Covid, where they screamed "misinformation" at anyone who questioned the status quo but it's taken society over as a whole. It's also one reason I am fed up beyond measure with the left.

Obviously you will notice unless you are sleeping under a rock, that everything seems to be getting corrupted and compromised. Covid really did a number on our society. They don't want free speech anymore or people to be happy, they want control. It seems like the UUA is now being taken over and wants to take things down the authoritarian road.

The UU as a whole is going through a crisis now, where "woke ideologues" are actually trying to re-write the articles of the church. They basically are rewriting the entire religion.

I was UU from ages 18-30 before I converted into evangelicalism/fundamentalism and returned to the UU in my mid 40s. So I remember how the UU church used to be as far back as the late 1980s. I have attended three UU churches, one was a very wealthy UU in a huge metro area [this was the church I married in], another one in a medium size college town and the one I am in now is a small fellowship in a smaller town.  I have spent almost 20 years of my life now associated with Unitarian Universalism.

Some of these changes they want are drastic. The UUA or national organization is basically being steered by these groups. They want to remove things like "freedom of conscience" from the articles, and do away with the 7th principles. The "freedom of conscience" thing was one of the most important reasons I joined when young. It's really weird when they want to "rewrite" a religion isn't it?

They are trying to push "white supremacy" teachings. I am anti-racist but never liked that term, poor white people exist too.  I read X. Kendi books and others before I learned he belonged to the WEF. I understood that POC face many things white people don't, but something seemed wrong like they just wanted to turn people against each other. The day I almost got thrown out of a community anti-racism meeting for mentioning economics will forever remain with me.

That term just outrages people. Thandeka a UU minister warned about anti-racism failing because of the extreme ideological positions way back in the 1990s. She talked about how class really ran things and was ignored by the powerful. Sadly identity politics has taken over the left. No one cares about the poor anymore.  No one cares about worker's rights. Just what the megacorporations and powers that be wanted! Sadly the same elitists are working to dismantle the one church where they had freedom of belief and conscience in their teachings.

Look how all the trans stuff on the left has obliterated any discussion of worker's rights, unions, the fate of the poor and working class. No one cares that half the country [people of all colors] is sinking under the waves of economic oppression. Anyone who makes under 6 figures a year is NOW INVISIBLE. They can crush us with skyrocketing grocery prices while telling us all to buy 80,000 dollar electric cars to save the environment.  The left too has become pro-war which shocks and appalls me almost every day. Sending a drone after Putin may be a very bad idea if WWIII now breaks out.

Divide and conquer! The power brokers love it! Maybe that's why they are foisting the likes of Dylan Mulvaney on us, the anorexic actor who likes to mock women. He does creepy things like pretend to be a little girl, but he's supposed to be some great influencer.  If huge mega corporations support it, it's probably not for freedom or anything good. You do realize very few know that there's controversy with some of this stuff. Some feminists and lesbians are noticing how women are being mocked. He dresses like a 1950s housewife for a reason.

There's a new movement in the UU called the "fifth principle" movement, it's against some of these ideological changes and "woke" fascism.  They don't like how extreme politics are taking over the UUA. They are concerned too about how young people [minors especially] are being pushed into permanent changes to their bodies for the trans movement, before they are of age and understand how these changes will affect their lives. I'm not sure what the thoughts are yet about the Covid stuff though I may ask them soon. There's been a lot of censorship, UU pastors fired, silenced and people told they aren't allowed to talk about those sort of things. I am on their side.

Fortunately some other UUs I know are against some of these extreme changes. No church is perfect or immune to politics of course but I have found these developments to be of interest. I don't think a globalism-pure church is findable outside of a the most rural remote areas. It's weird to me, how what happened in the IFB where I was rebuked for war protesting and for "liberal activities" ['why are you hanging out with all those socialist and pagans!??"] has now the inverse happening to me in the UU, where I'm not the right kind of ideological "woke" liberal. I was honest and answered a church survey saying. "Sometimes I don't feel like I am the right kind of liberal to be here".

There was something really weird among the changed UU articles that should concern ACONs. I know this sounds weird but hear me out, they had a line in the new articles where they see all relationships as redeemable. That was weird to me. Even the UUs now think no contact is bad? That's the same kind of crap I heard in the IFB when they preached against one going no contact with any relatives and that we were wicked for doing so.

I was discussing some of these changes with online UUs, and there were other ex-evangelicals there, and they noticed how the new articles all use the word "covenant" over and over, I said, "How Baptist can you get?" It was all about obedience to authority. The way the UU always operated, the churches were all independent, there's a different flavor even among UU churches, some are liberal Christians while others have gone more in the other direction. The UUA was more an educational clearing house than top down Magisterium like the Catholic church has.

Religion as a whole is used by the powers that be, I've said that years ago, so guess none of this should surprise me. I wanted to have some social connections so that's why I even went back to the UU church.  At least there, I could have some religious questionings without offending people though now obviously my thoughts about bible prophecy, Covid, etc probably differ from the majority of UUs.

There was so much silencing in the evangelical churches. You either conformed or you got out. You either agreed with the pastor or left. The last IFB pastor was a horror show of narcissism and classism.

I hate having this feeling in the UU. I certainly don't need any more religious trauma.

There's things I have kept my mouth shut about at the UU, you know. I didn't tell others, that a church member called me a Qanon for questioning the Covid vaxx or there's a lady who brought me flowers in the church and demanded to know my vaxx status and then when I told her [health problems included as my decision making] she hasn't spoken to me in more than 2 years.

I did complain to the pastor once in a private email about people holding private parties and banning the unvaxxed from them. I made the decision to wait things out, this crap has to end right! Right???!! Covid being forever seems to be bringing me to a mental health crisis, that no one can understand. I've never felt so alone in my entire life. So most there were nicer to me, but all this has been a mess. I did become scared to open my mouth. I do want to ask the fifth principle people if any felt censored about Covid. I may admit how I felt like I could talk about true emotions and feelings. Beyond the physical distance, this has affected my relationship in the church.

I even talked to one friend recently about how hard it was to notice that everything I used to write about on my old religion/conspiracy blog--they were a rare real life friend who had access to it--seemed to be coming true.

I even warned of a plague taking over the world and being used for world government on that blog in 2014. It was a post related to Ebola. Ironic huh? Religiously I came to a place thinking a lot of what Jesus taught was adulterated in Christiandom, and the prophecies seem to be coming true. I'm too off the ranch to return to the regular Christian world, but some of my views have changed. This world definitely is run and influenced by "evil", unlike many liberal folks out there who see our leaders as well-intentioned, I don't. Religion as I have written in previous articles on here regarding my deconversion still is in the complicated realm.

Then there's the "woke" stuff. Will I get thrown out of the UU, if I tell them, I don't care what adults choose to do or how they live their mutual consenting sexual lives, but I get nervous when I see young girls that are overweight, with possible PCOS, socially awkward--perhaps autistic given puberty blockers and having their breasts removed. I don't think young teens should be making decisions that are permanent like this. It's weird to watch perfectly healthy girls being given testosterone when my involuntary testosterone ruined my life, and I needed an androgen blocker for over 15 years. [the same drug by the way given to male to female transitioners]. People forget that some UUs are parents, and some have access to the internet and have read the stories about detransitioners who are now sterile, and regret their early sex changes.

I noticed among the left, free speech was no longer valued. I saw friendship circles online broken up, the immediate reaction to any non-status quo belief, be it about the Ukraine, trans issues, Covid or Covid vaxxes, etc etc was to silence you, devalue you--"you Q, you "right wing conspiracist!" and invalidation. There was group shaming and silencing and even fear that set in for having certain view points. My 25 year old Aspie group of friends on Facebook where we all met online has broken up because three of us warned the other 4-5 about Covid vaxxes and I talked about my friends getting sick and none of them would hear of it. This was an open friendship group for years but all the "left" ones started demanding censorship of posts.

I started to be afraid to open my mouth half the time in the real world.

Can you imagine how that feels, knowing you have to be quiet to be safe? And it's had me thinking things about churches, religion, etc. One online acquaintance told me, that all churches are hierarchical that's why you are struggling. I think there's a reason tyranny loving globalists want to rewrite the religion of Unitarian Univeralism. Some of the thinkers are noticing somethings wrong. Some dedicated to real liberalism are warning about what it means for freedom to be tossed out.

I don't know where things are going to go, I'm worried about these developments. I'm talking to some UUs who feel the same way I do online. I even told them I feel like the left is taking us into Mao like "struggle sessions".

I did have to stop talking about politics, Covid, and personal hardships regarding Covid and economics to survive in the real world. Its only added to my feeling of disconnection. The left now supports silencing people and is working against authenticity and they claim the right wing are the fascists. Sigh.....

I'll see where things go.

  1. Hi Peeps,
Interesting language quoted from the North American UUA there.
"We are dedicated to courageousely fostering and protecting the principles and practices of liberal religeon: reason, tolerance, democratic process, freedom of concience, freedom of speach and expression, and the inherent worth and dignity of all people,"
Meanwhile, as we speak, the WHO is currently working on their pandemic 'accord" which they intend to be legally binding to its 194 Member States. They are also "ammending" International Health Regulations from 2005.
In article 3 it previousely stated that "The implementation of these regulations shall be with FULL RESPECT FOR THE DIGNITY, HUMAN RIGHTS, AND FUNDAMENTAL FREEDOMS OF PERSONS."
But now they are taking that part in big letters out. They have parts they are "putting in" and parts they are "taking out". This is coming out.
For a quick perusal of some of these, you can see Dr. Campbell's youtube on this entitled, "Who New Health Regulations."
Hearing limitations won't matter on this one, as he has them written down and is crossing the parts going out in red pen. The bold parts are the ones going in.

    1. Remember with the NAU, the UUA, is trying to take out all that stuff including freedom of conscience and freedom of speech and replace it with covenant nonsense, which basically means you agree to "get along with the group" and not "make waves"
The NAU are the alternative to the main group which is the UUA which is going all globalist, and I think is being "institutionally captured" The WHOs garbage is against the Constitution, imagine those creeps demanding lock-downs and they will FORCE vaxxes on people.
Yeah the globalists aren't hiding their totalitarian desires, it doesn't surprise me that garbage organization the WHO is taking out...." FULL RESPECT FOR THE DIGNITY, HUMAN RIGHTS, AND FUNDAMENTAL FREEDOMS OF PERSONS."

They definitely don't respect that anymore. Same for the UUA, they are taking it out for a reason.

  2. I thought it was right-wingers who are the most obsessed with trans people and "trans stuff" these days.

    1. One doesn't have to be right wing, to realize castration is a life altering decision and leading someone underage to do it, is criminal. I don't think anyone should do it adult or not but did you know the male to female sex change people have to use a dilator for the rest of their lives, I saw a video of Jazz complaining about the pain and wanted to throw up, and that poor kid had all this imposed on them while they were underaged.

I know someone who had their obviously PCOS/shy autistic daughter [FtM] have their breasts removed. I thought what was the use of that? I hope they/he/ doesn't get the horrendous "bottom surgery" for their sake. Go learn the details of what they do to people. Once one learns that the liberal fog and clouds of this being about "freedom" will clear away. It's like Dr. Frankenstein.

Remember who you are talking to, someone who wasn't even viewed as a girl for years, due to severe PCOS, a hormonal case. I'm glad I'm old and no idiots told me to became a man and get a fake penis put on me and that it would solve all my problems. Lipedema would have made that impossible with the extreme body shape anyhow. I was straight, so it was easier to stay a girl. I even had a therapist tell me I am gender non-conforming and androgynous. Oh and don't get me started how it's many young autistics being led down these bad roads.

Some gay people are even questioning all the trans stuff where the doctors go hacking away at body parts and replace them with body parts that don't work.

  3. My impression is that, while cases of medical problems or some people regretting their transition and detransitioning are possible, these are rare and should be taken as anecdotes, not as a rule. Nobody can force, drive, lead, or influence anyone to "become transgender"; it is an innate characteristic. People who indeed are transgender have such a strong feeling that they are "in the wrong body" or forced to conform to norms they don't identify with (in appearance, clothing, behavior etc.), that they are at high risk of lifelong mental-health problems, up to and including suicide, if NOT given the gender-affirming care they need. Or more broadly, if they are not allowed to be who they are.

The American right wing right now is attempting just that: to deny transgender people the medical care that they need, to not allow them to express themselves socially and otherwise in the way that they wish. They want transgender people to cease to exist. They have already passed like hundreds of bills to achieve it. As part of their tactics, they tend to emphasize talking points such as supposed medical dangers of transition, supposed inappropriate procedures done on minors, cases of detransition etc., while ignoring the stories of the majority of trans people and medical practitioners. These are skewed views, in fact it is political and culture-war propaganda. Not the whole story of being trans and trans people as a group.

You may not consider yourself a right-winger, but if you say "I don't think anyone should do it adult or not", well, that's a right-wing position on the existence of trans people. So you are judging other people's lives and expressing YOUR ideas on how THEY should live. And that's OK, you may think or believe whatever you wish. When it becomes not OK is forcing one's own ideas on others: that is what elected Republicans are now doing through all the anti-trans bills.

Furthermore, you said that gender-affirming surgeries are "like Dr. Frankenstein". Well, there are countless types of surgeries and countless other ways of modifying one's body. Even things like organ transplants or hip replacements. Do you also consider the latter "like Dr. Frankenstein"? If not, why not? What is the difference, what makes one acceptable and the other not?

Lastly, don't forget that the ones preaching about all the dangers of trans issues are very often the same people who would also deny you and other women the right to an abortion, birth control, no-fault divorce, and so on.

    1. Rare like Covid vaxx side effects? It's not that hard to find detransitioners online. Their stories are heartbreaking. I follow a few on Twitter.

I don't think they are so rare, and many of them do regret the changes. Seriously take the time and find out how they transition people and the medical problems that come with it. Also people are noticing a lot of the girls now transitioning seem to be autistic and to have PCOS. I was told I was really "not a girl", and I have thought if I was 25 years younger I would have been told I was "really a boy" and needed a sex change. I used to be made fun of for masculine features and even figured out that most of my college dorm believed I was a lesbian after the fact. In fact things were so bad, my family mocked me when I said I had a boyfriend and accused me of lying, and slammed down the phone. That's how masculinized I was.

      https://fivehundredpoundpeeps.blogspot.com/2015/03/not-allowed-to-be-girl.html

There's a lot of abuses happening with autistic young people who feel uncomfortable in their own skins and identities too. These gender transition clinics make money. I will never agree with someone being told to cut off their breasts and get castrated as a solution to anything. I don't see it improving anything for them.

      Continuing.....

    2. The "new" parts do NOT work. Seriously study the mechanics of it all. Some stuff they don't talk about too is if someone is transitioned young with hormonal therapy etc, they will not go through puberty and will not be able to orgasm or have fully developed sexual abilities. I've seen where others have talked about the suicide risks, but there's a lot of risk of suicide for those who transition with permanent changes and then regret it.

I believe one thing could be fueling trans, is environmental toxins, more people are having their hormonal systems altered. It goes with the autoimmune disease. Abuse is rife through society and that includes sexual abuse, that would lead many to feel uncomfortable in their bodies. All of that I have sympathy for. I definitely did not have a normal hormonal life etc.

There's many who have said they have been driven to it. Many people are depressed or don't feel connected to others, and sadly told their lives will change if they become the other sex. I have seen this happen in young people.

BTW one of my cousins almost transitioned to male, they is the daughter of my gay cousin. they got a name change, and hormones, that put on weight--this was a person with normal health, thin etc. They stopped hormones, never did the "top" or "bottom" surgery and detransitioned, and now have become non-binary but they are dating males. I only met with them a few times but know the family members well, the family dymamics were very odd, mother showed signs of NPD, brother who is "out" and gay too like their father, [they publically came out so don't mind saying their orientation] is definitely a golden child. There were signs of loneliness and some things I dealt with growing up. I am glad they stopped before they got to the permanently altering surgeries, and decided to become non-binary--far less risk. So I know someone who has detransitioned. [no contact now]

      Continuing...

    3. What is ironic here, is people are desiring to wear clothing and live a certain way but told to fully "accept themselves" they literally have to have body parts cut off and that's messed up.

It may be different if those body parts worked where the new attached "penis" had actual sexual function or the "neo-vaginas", seriously learn the logistics with that, I hope they fully inform the patients because I was in shock anyone saw this as the solution.

I don't care about left and right wing. I'm neither. The left wing is betraying these people by giving them false hope and solutions. BTW guess what? I was on a drug they give transexuals, male to female, my androgen blocker. And there are health risks. I was forced off it 6 years ago, and can't take it anymore. That drug did not come without a price, and I probably have kidney problems today from it. I look at them wanting to give testosterone to young girls who are healthy [wanting to transition to be boys]--I don't care if they live or dress as boys etc etc, and testosterone destroyed me, so I am not naive what is going to happen. There's a reason most female to male transitioners are fat or overweight.

You call it "medical care", I call it Dr. Mengele run amuck especially after I learned the nitty gritty details that went deeper than the hormones.

I believe in free expression, free dress etc etc. Go repair cars or wear dresses whatever floats your boat but the irony here is they are told "oh now you have to be surgical altered with extreme life long risks via hormones, fissures, dilation of a "neo-vagina."

Once I learned about the procedures, I was in shock. Maybe take the time and read up. I didn't know a lot of this stuff either and went to read myself. Many liberals just think trans good, and don't even go read or research this stuff. This was true of me. Continuing...

    4. People can live whatever way they want as long as they don't harm anyone else. I am for free expression, however kids should not be making permanent changes to their bodies below the age of 18. I do not think they are old enough to understand the long term or what sterility for life really means or that their "new body" will not be the exact same as the opposite sex. I do believe there are transhumanist agendas tied to the trans stuff.

Some people are seriously concerned these doctors are harming people. I do not think their problems are being fixed with gender dysphoria but worsened.

The "tech" of sex change surgeries is very very poor, not even comparable to hip surgery, the latter actually works. I don't think someone can change their sex, you are whatever the chromosomes say and if you are intersexed then you are that. I don't think people with healthy bodies should have that health taken away.

I do not like some right wing laws, and think DeSantis has gone nuts about the "don't say gay" laws. Both right and left to me suck lately.

  5. Hi Peeps,
I think the wokism stuff is bad too. I didn't know anything about it or CRT, BLM, DEI or the trans movement until I started looking into Covid. As you know, I had been out of the loup for some time. It's been pretty shocking to me how much things have changed. There's no doubt many more things, of which I remain unaware.
My memories of what it is to be an American, is to be generally tolerant of another's point of view, even if it is not your own. To agree with the premice that we all deserve to persue our unique version of happiness, and to live equally fulfilling lives, regardless of our sexual orientation. Our pledge of allegiance indicates such as well.
But when "live and let live," suddenly becomes "let ME TELL YOU how to live ..." that's a problem. When one group tells another they have to bastardize the English language in order to accomodate their "feelings," I think they are asking too much.
When young girls and women in general are to share their heretofore recognized personal spaces (bathrooms, locker rooms and prison cells) with fully funtioning biological males, simply because these males "claim" to identify as females, that is a huge problem too. And it is an obvious injustice to those women. Once again, our pledge of allegiance, "with freedom and justice for all."
I worry too, when Universities now seem more focused on students "feelings" than they are with them learning the necessary skills to cope and flourish in society.
I could go on, but I'm sure you are already aware of the many areas in which this movement seems unfair.
Also, when such would have us "agreeing" to "truths" we know to be literal impossibilities, then we are also being asked to engage in a collective insanity, which I think is also too much to ask.
On the mutilation of underage children, I agree with you there as well. Puberty is necessary to human health. Is it part of our development, and should not be messed with. Boys have a growth spurt during puberty in their long bones. Block this, and it doesn't occur. Girls have other anatomical changes that provide for good health and child bearing. No one should be allowed to hinder a persons natural development. If the child is truly trans, then they can decide to make these changes as an adult, when they are better equipped to understand them.
Everyone wants to turn everything into an "emergency" and for "good reason." Different rules apply in an emergency situation, and oftentimes are completely thrown out. I think we all experienced this firsthand with Covid. Your commenter raised suicide as a huge risk if "treatment" is not given. I hope she/he has done their homewok on that, because what is being traded is arguably equally as important.
Dr. Jordan B. Peterson, clinical psychologist, says it's the depression and not the being trans that leads to suicide, which can be treated with medication and therapy. Seems a viable alternative to stave off the decision making for the person themselves, when they are an adult. In a youtube video entitled, "Detransition: The wounds that won't heal," he interviews Chloe, who began her transition at the age of 13, with blockers and testosterone therapy, and had a double mastectomy at age 15. I'm sure most anyone concerned with this issue has already heard about Chloe, and her deep regret for being allowed to make such changes before she understood what they meant. Anyone interested should see her tell it in her own words.
I have more thoughts on the other equally important issues you have raised here, but will leave it here for today.

    1. Hi Chelle,

I had some people online tell me I should not use the word "woke" because it used to be mean anti-racism in the 1930s, but while that meaning was more positive in that context, today I believe it has become something else. Maybe we could use a term like authoritarian leftism too. Being UU, I was pretty well verses in all the leftie stuff, BLM I thought was a good idea until I noticed they didn't give a crap about anyone's economic circumstances. When corporations latched on, I thought uh oh. All this stuff is co-opted nowadays. I don't mind kids learning about some of the things African Americans went through, break out the Dubois, Baldwin and Bell Hooks books but all the "white supremacy" crap grew old, I got tired myself of wealthy white people going on about how all white people were oppressors. A black person may face more risk of police brutality, but there's poor whites too, we are going to get screwed because of no money too. It's like certain segments of the population became invisible. I agree it used to be tolerance for different lifestyles and views, and now it's a bunch of Nannys and Dolores Umbridge types lecturing us. I'm tired of the Mea Culpa crap, I'm barely able to pay my bills, I'm not jumping on the guilt train, I have more in common with the people in the inner city than I do wealthy whites who act like everyone has endless money who happens to look like me. I see the crap the younger people are being taught, very little real world, they seem clueless some of them even how to function. I have some friend banning posts of mine on Facebook in her group wanting to provide a "safe space", give me a break. Some of them have lost their minds.

      continuing.....

    2. I don't think "everyone just cares about trans people now". It's just the thing that's talked about at the moment - as I said, thanks to right-wing propaganda which is the first to push it as a subject. Others are responding to it, because the spread of hate, the false information and the taking away of people's rights cannot be left unanswered and unopposed.

Trans people exist in all society, not just among the rich. So when/if anti-trans legislation is passed and becomes law, it is bound to affect people from all walks of life and it makes it a civil rights issue.

True, trans people are but a small percentage of the population. Yet one that transphobes at the moment are severely abusing for their own gain. I don't think it's smart to make it a competition about who or what is more important, because the same people who are behind the current transphobia are also in various ways after women, gays, people of color, poor people, disabled people... even the same person may fall into more than one of these categories. So in principle, abuses against one group should concern us all, or they will come (more easily) after you later.

    3. What if I believe what they are doing to trans people are the things of horror, the surgeries are more abuse then any right winger could dish out. When you mutilate people and harm their body so they spend their life with fissures, infections and more, and have to use a dilator to open up a permanent wound that's far more abuse and evil. Also kids are all lining up, even kids who in former times would be just a normal kid because they are lonely and want a "new community" where they will feel special and it's obvious they are being dragged into this too, and some are having their bodies permanently damaged as a result, well I believe ALL of them who get top or bottom surgery are basically mutiltated. Did you go check out what is actually done and the results? It is eye opening.

I don't hate anyone, believe people should be allowed to live in peace, wear a dress, pink hair, I don't care. However they are harming young people cutting off body parts, they are doing real damage to the adults. Megacorporations love the trans stuff because identity politics don't create any ground swell to demand fair wages or an economic level playing field. Are some right wingers abusing trans and gay causes too, sure, but that does change what is happening, that kids are going to have their lives ruined because of misguided academics and others who believe in gender ideology nonsense. BTW some liberals including fellow UUs are realizing the transexual movement is harming people and are protesting it. It's not just Republicans.

You do have to possess a level of wealth to be in the trans movement, new wardrobes, surgeries that all costs money. The working class and below just make do.

Oh the right wing is coming after the disabled, elderly poor too, cutting the social safety nets to shreds but you don't see the trans stuff is a nice distraction isn't it? The left doesn't care about the poor or disabled anymore. It's all about trans and pride parades.

Right wing is already doing "Don't say gay" laws, I don't agree with that but you see when people push things into insanity like castrating and sterilizing kids, people aren't going to be too happy about that.

  7. Chelle, are you sure who here is doing the telling others how to live, or to what extent? The Republican Party is busy banning gender-affirming care across the country, thus denying it to people who do need it - including adults in some of these bills. The Republican Party is banning abortion, in other words forcing women to give birth and/or putting their health, in some cases even their lives, at risk. It is right-wingers who destroy companies' property and harass and threaten their employees, such as recently at Target stores. Sounds pretty 'telling others what to do and how to live their lives' to me - and far more extreme than asking to adapt the language a bit, in order to be more inclusive or respect people's identities.

'Live and let live' would be to let the medical decisions be between people and their doctors. 'Live and let live' would be to just not buy a product if you don't like it (and it probably wasn't meant for you, anyway), or if you really are that bothered, go to another store to do your shopping. No need to smash up the store or threaten people who work there. 'Live and let live' would be to just mind your own business in a public bathroom - you are there to use the bathroom, others are doing the same.

On the other hand, where the right supposedly advocates for freedom, that kind of "freedom" leads to massive numbers of deaths - such as with gun violence, or covid.

    1. It's sad, there's parts of the left I like, and same with the UU church, art, desire for positives with environment, I still do not like the right wing but it's like all the forces of society want to just take everyone down to grunt survival. Look now they have the air poisoned, and I don't buy their claim it's "climate change", here they are clamoring for climate lock-downs, and now giant forest fires start up. I'm 50 something years old no smoke ever has come down like this. I can see them starting a few fires to say look see, we need those carbon credits rules installed, then they can diminish our lives even further. They don't care about the environment, if those rich globalist bastards did, they'd have everyone doing a community garden on every street corner, they would be doing something about all the chemical poisons in our food...etc etc.

I wish the left gave a damn about the lives of real people and how we are being economically crushed instead of busily wanting to cut everyone's parts off. The inner cities are growing so poor, and rural areas too, and they are in denial, as the place collapses around us. Let's focus on sex changes, talk about the most screwed up priorities on earth. What does all that pronoun stuff even matter, now that everyone's going to have their vascular system destroyed by endless cases of Covid or damaging vaxxes?

Makes you realize how sick this society really has become. Go look up some of the pictures on twitter where they cut girl's tits off and tell me how this is positive. I'm noticing they are all the overweight awkward looking girls too. Just more abuse for them by a bunch of narcissistic liars. Remember when I posted this article.
      https://fivehundredpoundpeeps.blogspot.com/2015/03/not-allowed-to-be-girl.html

Some of the virtue signaling narcissists are really going to town. "youre not a real girl, so we are going to cut your boobs off" I was told I was "really a boy".

They won't tell these kids the androgen blockers/other hormones screw you up, or you often get only a 15 year window before the resulting kidney and other problems, force you off them. Imagine that, when the hormones go back to base line at 45 after a "sex change". I am not mad that I was put on it, it took off the 250lbs which was 200lbs that remained off for over 25 years. I got some years of normalized facial beauty too making my 30s and 40s far more pleasant than they would have been. I'm growing hair on my face and looking swarthy and MALE in the face and it SUCKS. My head looks like a giant masculine rectangle cube. I am not nearly as pretty as I was in my 40s and yes it is hard to take. These are otherwise healthy kids who would have had normal lives but these monsters are destroying their lives with their psycho-babble.

    3. And you call this freedom? in the real world, people are being crushed financially and healthwise. The health care system is collapsing, if you want more details, I'll share on that but the left is focusing on rainbow flags, sex changes which I believe are damaging to both kids and adults but adults have right to make their own decisions but man, leave the kids alone. With abortion, I never liked abortion, it sucks too, most abortions are sought because of money and women especially young women not having money to survive and to take care of a baby. The right sucks too wanting to to take the birth control away and ignoring the health problems inherent to pregnancy or special cases. I think both sides have forgotten about leaving people alone to live in peace. They both suck. The left SUCKS, they wanted to force a clot shot on me where in my case even on the face of things, there are severe medical reasons not to take it but nope, they wanted to take medical care away, right to eat in restaurants, participation in public life--some towns did do this to people and if I lived in one that did that stuff, I would have filed a lawsuit under ADA, thankfully this town is more Republican. Don't you realize even part of my crisis in the UU, is their vaxx support and I am seen as a "non-person", I only told a FEW, for refusing an experimental gene therapy? I may end up leaving over this issue alone, I have told the pastor and two more I am closer too. They all support the vaxx. I wake up everyday asking why did it become acceptable to embrace a non-working vaxx that allowed a disease to become endemic, and also accept one that can cause literal death in people. Things that caused far less damage were immediately taken off the market. Now that this cluster-fuck seems to have no seemingly chance of ending, and they want to unleash more pandemics and more immune system destroying vaxxes, I don't see my future as being very bright dedicated to the left. Realize I had some real relationships with people that are not the same. I kept quiet with most and peaceful but inside had growing horror.

The right wing, betrays too, wanting to strip away all the social safety nets. Some of the fringe right is right about the clot shots, etc, but they have no plan either. The right wing politicians serve the interests of the global elite, so they aren't going to "save" anyone too. Trump after all headed the Warp Speed program.

The left is a joke, sorry, at this point I have reached a place of utter disgust. By the way I am now so pro-second amendment, that is a result of knowing most of the left, would have no problem with putting me on a train to the camp for refusing a clot shot that would kill me. It didn't escape my notice all of Europe etc, went totally fascist on the clot shot. The left in America doesn't give a damn about any freedom.

    4. As I personally remember, the talk of "camps" has been present in America for at least the last 15 years, when it took the form of "Obama's FEMA death camps". Wikipedia's article about it says that, actually, "the theory has existed since the late 1970s".

So, in all this time, how many camps have actually materialized? Why do you think that is?

    6. I agree that the culture wars are a distraction from economic issues. However, I think at present it is mainly the right who is driving the culture wars, one of their main things being the anti-trans hysteria. And it is a hysteria, generated and supported by propaganda outlets, fearmongering and exaggerating the supposed problems out of all proportion. It's their cover for having nothing to offer socially and economically, just things like tax cuts for the rich and benefiting corporations.

    7. Let me ask you something, how come everyone just cares about trans people now? Aren't real trans beyond the kids they are manipulating supposed to be rare? Like a very small percentage of the population? You think I'm not noticing the answer for the disabled who number in the millions by the way is now "go die" and have the govt bring you your suicide pills, while attention goes to sexual niche issues? Why do you care more about wealthy people with money for sex changes, new wardrobes and more who are otherwise healthy more than disabled people? The right wing sucks too, I'm sick of their crap as well, but there's the left betraying. How come leftists are crying copious tears over drag queens, while half the country can barely afford food and none of you give a damn? I could be playing with homelessness the way my life is going the housing, and other costs are so out of control. I'm going on housing lists as a safety back up to make sure I don't end up on the streets, which means starting over YET AGAIN. I think trans people are being victimized by some of the most evil people in the world and with the kids we are entering psychopathy land, telling them the answer to their problems is to get healthy body parts cut off. This is disgusting beyond belief. The left now supports as many evil things as the right ever did.

    8. Hi Peeps,
Some really good points you make here, I hope anonymous will respond.
This has been on my mind too. The stats in the States are 1.5- 2 million trans, and 54 million disabled. With a total of 330 million, that definately begs the question, why are we only talking about lesser minority groups, who to hear it from the left, are being RISEN from obscurity?
I think the answer is it's a cheap fix. To highlight the plight of the other group, the disabled, might cause a bigger raucous and cost some money!
Yeah, I think we should be talking about bigger issues too, which all this other stuff steers us away from.
Anyone, including anonymous, have any concern about the legally binding document the WHO is drawing up, which takes sovereignty away from member states and their citizens, to make their own medical choices?

    9. The camps materialized for the Japanese and quite quickly too. History can repeat itself. Have you noticed what the WHO is up to and they want their laws made worldwide. Already in a city I used to live in Chicago, I was made a non-person, and told I could not eat out or go into places. I don't live there anymore thankfully but if I did I would have filed suit under ADA. They still want to push the crap vaxxes and make a totalitarian system to do it. This is one of the main reasons I have parted ways from the left. Many of you seem ready to shove me and others like me right into the boxcar. Maybe this time they won't need camps, they'll just use your cell phone code to block you from entrance into stores to buy food, use public transportation. The Chinese already have this social credit system up. This too is evil just like the harm being done to kids.

Trans are money makers, they know for every poor lonely and troubled kid they get in the door, thats a million dollars over a lifetime of surgeries, hormones and medical care to fix the damages. However notice how they always crow about health care shortages, there's plenty of time and resources for all that? That should make you think...

Disabled people are far far higher in number, and now ignored. We are not given PRIDE parades but MAID, and told "go die" or that we just have to suck up forever isolation or too bad if 200,000 of us die every year from endemic Covid. One interesting thing if repeated cases of Covid are harming people, the disabled numbers are going to skyrocket, but they won't talk about that, get more rainbow flags out!

We only hear about these lesser niche groups and I think it's for a reason, they can put all the focus on them while ignoring bigger issues. Yeah the disabled cost money. All this stuff is a distraction too. The place is burning down literally, look at the air.

Sadly most of the left support world government and things like WHO intiatives.

Yes I am sure about what I said, and I stand by it. That said, I do feel sad for the obvious grief you are feeling over this issue, and your voice certainly deserves to be heard on it. I suppose if you feel that strongly, that you should consider collecting signatures from other like-minded citizens, and get those to your constituency.
In the meantime, I would implore you to try and see the bright side of this effort, and know that these children will eventually be able to make this decision, when they are better equipped to do so, as adults. They only need to put off the "instant gratification" they "perceive" the surgery will provide, which is another life lesson in of itself.
Certainly, the gravity of these decisions, should they not go the direction intended, cannot be lost on you? And why are you so adament that children be allowed to make them?
The Babylon Bee has a youtube video entitled, "Girl too young for Tatoo offered Irreversible Gender Surgery," which you might see for some perspective.

I think if sex change remains a thing, it should only be for adults. I believe it is harmful for adults too but at least that is a grown person making their own decisions for their own life. It should be informed consent where they are given pictures of the results, and informed of all complications and problems with hormones. Its true the kids can't get tattoos, but can be put on the sex change path.

  9. I think both the right and left have grown authoritarian. Everyone wants to tell everyone what to do. I left the evangelical world because life became a long list of rules, spiritual abuse, being told nothing is ever good enough but now in UU and the liberal world, I'm facing life as a long list of rules too with speech "rules" and "belief" rules. I will say this a few UUs, are holding to real beliefs about first amendment, etc, allowing me a place to be me, this has helped things but I am in a very complicated place in life right now with religion and more.

The left has grown authoritarian trying to force experimental vaccines on the populace which have proven themselves to be ineffective. They are also practicing what the book Animal Farm warned about. I am noticing "some animals are more equal than others" Disabled people definitely have a far back seat behind the transexuals, as now in liberal areas, the response to the disabled and poor is MAID, which promotes state sponsored suicide. Look it up in Canada. The poor are now forgotten about for the "sex change" nonsense and the elite want it that way. Women's rights don't matter as now women can't even have their own space, and are now mocked all over the place. Some lesbians and others ARE pissed off at the trans stuff, but you'll never see that in the news.

The right wing, just wants to take away all social safety nets, including Social Security, this is one reason I still vote for too many leftists just for mere survival but the rest of their crap such as support for sex changes on kids and Covid mandates, makes me want to puke into a barf bag as I'm filling out my ballot between Liberty university nutcases and DEI nutcases. All that talk of "diversity and inclusion" is complete and utter BS to me, because the green paper, is what determines the real inclusion.

    1. Isn't access to MAiD subject to a number of conditions? Such as being ill in a way that one's condition cannot be improved, and experiencing unbearable suffering? That is, one cannot just choose to kill themselves "with the state's assistance" willy-nilly.

Quoting from British Columbia's Provincial Health Services Authority and Health Canada:

      http://www.phsa.ca/health-info/medical-assistance-in-dying

"To be eligible for medical assistance in dying, you must meet all of the criteria below:

      ...(other criteria)...

You have a grievous and irremediable medical condition, which means:
      - You have been diagnosed with a serious and incurable illness, disease, or disability;
      - Your medical condition has advanced or declined to the point where it cannot be reversed; and
      - You experience unbearable physical or mental suffering that cannot be relieved under conditions that you consider acceptable;

      ...(other criteria)..."

The words "grievous and irremediable medical condition" then point to the following:

      https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/services/medical-assistance-dying.html#grievous

"To be considered as having a grievous and irremediable medical condition, you must meet ALL of the following criteria. You must:
      - have a serious illness, disease or disability (excluding a mental illness until March 17, 2024)
      - be in an advanced state of decline that cannot be reversed
      - experience unbearable physical or mental suffering from your illness, disease, disability or state of decline that cannot be relieved under conditions that you consider acceptable"

    2. I've read up on MAID especially in Canada, don't let this stuff fool you. Do you realize many are chosing death even over economic oppression? They can't get medical care and other things they need. That's life in America too though only some states here have ethunasia. They are basically telling disabled people go die, because we aren't going to give you the health care, pain killers, etc, that you need. Also why should people with severe medical conditions be told to go die instead of getting help and support? BTW the health care system is utterly failing. I'm going to the functional doctor to try and stay alive because the regulars don't care anymore. I have been telling them how extreme my fatigue is for months and months. There's times I wake up feeling like I am going to die from fatigue. Us severely chronically ill know for a fact the eugenicists can't wait to dispatch us off the planet for money saving efforts. They are denying mental health care and other supports. Instead the answer is "go die".

      https://twitter.com/LouiseKinross/status/1666862715980087301

You do realize I qualify for MAID according to the rules above?

      I support "Not Dead Yet."e

      I consider these people murderers.

The hatred against the disabled is growing.

Oh I wrote on a fifth principle board why doesn't the UUA care about the disabled, I guess we are #9999999 behind all the trans people. Of no concern. We are basically being told, "go die". All this stuff got worse since Covid.

Health care IS checking out. I'm studying naturopathy even to attempt to stay alive, problem is I don't have the money for supplements I need. Food costs so much, that's scary beyond belief.

  10. Anonymous,
I looked into the abortion issue, because you raised it. The Republican Party, or The States really, are mostly looking for "parameters" on abortion, instead of outright bans in the majority of cases, as in the number of weeks allowed to abort. The numbers being contemplated are 6-20 weeks.
As a woman, I support there being parameters. At six weeks, a woman, in most cases, will have experienced two light or no menstruation periods. I think she may need another minute in this case to make a decision. But at ten weeks, she should have missed her third menstruation, and thereby should have had enough more than enough time to suspect she is pregnant and to decide (IMO).
On the issue of The Republican Party being the apparent "scourge of the Earth" in your opinion, I would like to share with you my intention (so far) to vote Democrat in the upcoming election. I"m thinking RFK Jr. looks like a good choice, I think our present president is too old to run again. I'm curious if this changes your mind any with respect to me, and your apparent opinion that I am somehow "right wing"?

    1. I think some parameters are a decent idea, at least limit the late term abortions which should only be happening now with present tech, if the mother is going to die, or the baby died in utero--making a woman carry a dead baby can kill them. Someone showed on Twitter, people making "abortion cakes" I don't know if it was a parody or not, I hope so, they showed this woman making a cake to celebrate a friend's abortion. That's sick. I never liked the prolife movement for wanting to take the birth control away and being unrealistic to the economic reasons why women seek abortions. As I have written before most abortions are sought under economic duress where a young woman has no economic or personal support and the man in question has abandoned her or they are both really young. Biden is feeble and should not run again. I hope RFK is not controlled opp or just another Bernie to get Newsome [aaargh mr. pro clot shot himself] or Desantis in. Desantis at least is good with Covid but bad on a lot of other things. Newsome would be a nightmare. Nowadays unless someone is pro-extreme "woke" or authoritarian left that supports the clot shots and tyranny and extreme trans stuff with sex change on minors they are called "right wing". Already happening to me.

  11. Hi Peeps,
So many things you wrote about here, I agree with all of it. Not sure about the Republicans wanting to take SS away though, I thought that was just rhetoric from the left.
I'm sorry to hear about your hormonal issues, that sounds really rough. And the doctors "refusing" to check your testosterone levels, what's up with that? Is it because of insurance? And if so, who are they working for then, the insurance companies or the patient? Could you get them checked privately? (BTW, vitimin B1 is said to be the only vitimin that works on the CFS, somehow feeding the mitochondria inside the cells.)
I understand the concern with RFK Jr. too. It has occurred to me as well. It's hard to take a leap of faith and trust again after all this. I listened to a conversation on youtube between him and Kim Iverson, on her channel. She told him she didn't understand why he was running Democrat?
He of course explained his belief in the "traditional" Democratic Party, and the fact that he thought he was the one to rescue it. Also that Independants don't get to debate. But Biden's team has already made it clear he won't be debating, and even Trump too, from what I understand, so don't know who he thinks he will be debating?
The points Kim made were that at some point he was going to have to pivot. And she told him not to pull a Bernie, not to turn and endorse the party candidate. That whatever he did, not to do that. That at that point, he was going to have to run Independant.
He had previousely said to her that he didn't want to leave the Democratic Party, and she said, "Yeah, but they left you. They broke up with you, and at some point you're going to have to deal with it."
The look on his face was priceless as he looked away to his people around the room, and laughed at the notion that he was somehow the girl in this scenario, who had been dumped.
I love Kim, she pulls no punches, and always tells it like it is!

    1. Hi Chelle,

There was one senator who wrote a bill to cancel out SS, I can't remember his name now, if they ever did that a sizeable number of the population would end up homeless. It could be just extreme Republicans. Sadly the regular ones go after Medicare far too much for my liking.
Maybe they are refusing to check the testosterone thinking they can't do anything about it, I can't go on androgen blockers, I can ask the regular to do it. I'm going to, my face looks kind of masculinzed lately, it could be getting old. I wish I could afford some hair weave and could tolerate make-up.

I think insurance does have some weird rules, the main doctors keeping trying to get me to sign up for managed care, which means less care. It's kind of weird. I think the B I take does have B1 in it, I will check. I did notice taking some vit C, I took a high dosage did seem to help today, I took it with some zinc. Even seem to help with the mouth sores. I do think the malabsorption is doing funny stuff. I ate this lunch full of veggies, black bean soup full of peppers and tomatoes and vegetarian burrito. Cost me money but I enjoyed that lunch. I needed the vitamins even from that food.
Glad you have the same concerns about RFK too. I know I don't trust politicians or political parties. I still vote too so that's complicated isn't it. LOL I never could vote for Beady eyed Biden again, or the Crypt Keeper as I jokingly refer to him as. Some may vote for him despite their worries. I even wonder if RFK could be chosen to be the clean-up crew guy, once the system crashes, extreme vaxx die-off etc, but seems the vaxx is just depopulating on the slow plan for most besides the clot/heart victims so no one wakes up. Someone I follow belives Newsome's going in as POTUS which gives me the heebie jeebies. I said wouldn't they have to massively cook the books for Mr. Covid Vaxx Mandate to win? They've managed worse. Trump I believe by his slavish devotion to the clot shots--Warp Speed, has lost followers, they seem busy marching him off to jail for some months?

Yeah we all wondered why Bernie wouldn't go independent, so it's almost a repeat of that. Sadly RFK could just be another Bernie anyway.

I've given up on the Democratic party and Republican. I still vote for locals who have the affiliation, but it's rough, you know.
Isn't it pathetic these candidates could just decide, "Im not going to debate?" Can you imagine that happening 25 years ago? I can't.

Biden looks foolish re-running, he's so elderly he is having falls and needs a rollator walker. I wish I knew more about Hunter Biden years ago, his messed up kids don't speak well of him as a father.

I like that host Kim I said that to him. I wonder if Naomi Wolf considers herself a Democrat still or "politically homeless". She should have asked him, "How do you expect to avoid the Bernie treatment? I should check that show out. Haven't seen a news show in a long time. My husband used to watch the one jokesy guy, late at night, young African American or biracial man, can't remember show name or if it's still on. Too bad that guy went all pro-Covid nonsense. He could be funny, saw it a few times.

    2. "jokesy guy, late at night, young African American or biracial man" - Trevor Noah on The Daily Show? (He is biracial and from South Africa.) He left the show recently, said that after seven years of hosting it he wanted to pursue other things. The Daily Show is still on with other hosts.

  12. Hi Peeps,
I think it's safe to say Naomi definately feels "politically homeless." I've heard her say as much, when she's pointed out that she was, and always has been a Liberal, but that the party changed. Most of the people I get along with feel this way too.
Kim Iverson is another one who feels the same. She told RFK Jr. that she would love nothing more than to see him President, but that she has zero faith in the DNC. She use to be one of three hosts on Rising. She was very dialed in to "all things Covid" during the pandemic, and was very vocal about her opinion and considerable investigative journalism. She left Rising when they were going to interview Faucci, and left her out of it, citing "scheduling difficulties". She of course offered to remedy these in "whatever way necessary," but they took a pass, and put the two "soft balls" on it. She said her followers deserved better, so she walked.

    1. Yeah there's a lot of disgruntled Democrats there, and people like me who jumped the ship into the politically homeless waters. I don't even think I can call myself liberal anymore by the what they have defined it as. I'm never going to jump on the "woke" train, forget it. I've had it. Glad she had integrity to leave behind those who blocked her from asking questions of that rat fink Fauci. I need to check Ivers out, don't know much about her but that says something. I wish RFK hadn't gone to the Dems.

Yeah, the thought of "Gruesome Newsom" is gruesome indeed!

  14. Morning Peeps,
I agree it's rediculous when candidates just decide "they're not going to debate." Seems like they already think their candidacy and election is a forgone conclusion. Shows such a lack of regard for the voters. They've really flipped the script in the States, like they have people believing that THEY work for the government and not the other way around. The not debating thing too, like with Katie Hobbs in Arizona who wouldn't debate Kari Lake. In that instance too, like with Biden and RFK, it was obvious who would win the debate. So I guess their attitude is, if I can't win, I just won't play. But I'll srill win?
Yeah, I don't blame you for being discouraged. Fetterman winning over Doctor Oz was a wierd one too. How much more popular can you get than Dr. Oz? But then, Oprah voted against him, so who knows? It's starting to occur to me that I know a little bit more about all this than I'd like to. Maybe I'll just stick with the WHO thing, we only have until this November to object to the changes, and then it comes into effect 6 months later, in May.

    1. Yeah they act like the fix is already in. I told a friend today I don't expect politicians to save us, I don't trust any of them. RFK could wipe the floor clean with Biden too, so yeah cowardly feeble Biden is just saying he won't play. Yeah the weirdest ones win. Yeah keep track of the WHO thing. None of us voted for those WHO jerks. I refuse to do what the WHO tells me.
