It looks like Bernie is losing, and I'm not happy. With all the cheating, gerry-mandering, propaganda, arguments about whose electable and no electable, and people like Bloomberg coming on to manipulate things, democracy is long gone. I never met one person who was gung-ho for Biden, some were for Pete or Warren, but not him. Maybe the Diebold computers were doing their thing. The disappointment is immense.
Hey, I share your disappointment, but we need to keep trying -- if only because Bernie has moved the needle further than anyone before him, in terms of what he stands for. Ideas like Medicare For All no longer seem so wacky nor abstract in the teeth of a ferocious pandemic, right? Even if we still don't make it -- and the final vote is far from in on that -- history will judge us better than those who chose not to lift a finger. I know which side of that divide I'd rather be on. -- Mr. Peep
ReplyDeleteYou have to say this, at least both of us stood up against the evil and for years too. We war protested in the 2000s, even with personal cost. I know I stood up for Bernie and tried to educate others, and talked about the growing facism, NDAA etc even by the Bush era. I am glad some better ideas have got traction. Maybe the young can pick up the baton and have better lives. America may collapse but whoever is left will at least have the ideals that are left, that still burn bright in some people's minds. I think history will judge us far better. We have enough written evidence left behind for people to know what we stood for. Thanks Mr. Peep.
DeleteI was depressed when Sanders and Warren lost because I am worried about getting my student loan debt to cancel or when the government would stop charging interests on student loans. They need to eliminate interests added to the loan so I could get my debts down by paying them.
ReplyDeleteI hope Biden will choose Warren, a female VP candidate who would take care of student loans and fix the economy.
A lot of Democrats feel the election was rigged against Sanders (again).
ReplyDeleteButtigeg, Klobachar and Bloomberg drop out of the race the day before Super Tuesday and endorse Biden? Usually candidates drop out AFTER Super Tuesday. Very fishy.
And then there is Wisconsin. It looked so much like gerry-mandering ...
I believe it was rigged from the start. We don't have fair or free elections anymore. I think Diebold is running the show but they use the media, propaganda and more. Yes when three drop out of a race the day before Super Tuesday that is fishy as hell. Wisconsin had no fair vote whatsoever everyone was too scared to go to the polls. I read somewhere Bernie has just suspended his campaign. Not sure if they thought he can go back. Unless Corona does us some mighty favors, we may end up with Trump yet again. I think Biden was running to "lose" from the start.
