The Class Split in the Democratic Party

I feel weary from seeing fellow Democrats claim Bernie is an extremist, or could never win. It's hard enough to argue with all the Trumpsters, without adding fellow Democrats to the list. A lot has me worried lately though on the political front.  I find myself thinking this split is going to get Trump in the door again. It's really got me worried.  A repeat of Trump in 2020, would destroy our lives. Please vote blue which ever way it goes for us to be spared that. I may have to take a vomit bag to the voting booth,  if it's Biden or Bloomberg though.

The country will go deeper into fascism if Trump wins. He's already attacked every environmental law and ones that bring good things to people lives. When you find yourself having conversations about leaving a country you have lived all your life in, that says something. I and my husband have had those conversations. However we hit the the giant barrier of poverty and my disability keeping us out of any new country. He lived in Europe and knows it's more expensive. Canada doesn't take disabled people. My health is too precarious to go to a developing nation.

The Democratic party is split in two. I plan to vote Blue to get the Orange faced Menace out of office, no matter who it is, but I am deeply disappointed at the hatred for true progressive agendas in the Democratic party. Some of the moderates outside a few social issues, to me sound just like Republicans. Too many of them flip flopped like Mayor Pete, claiming to be for Medicare for All in 2018 and definitely going back on this probably after his wealthy backers screamed "No Way!". The megacorporations and 1 percent are directing the show.

We need a third party in this country but because the two party system is so entrenched and any third parties closed out, I understand why progressive politicians like Bernie and AOC decided to work within the confines of the Democratic party. The monkey business to close them out like the conveniently malfunctioning voting app in Iowa, seems extensive. Watching Hillary Clinton come out to put down Bernie, like she wants to help re-elect Trump is disgusting beyond measure. Some rich boomers who seem to want to keep the status quo same as it ever was, are only putting up barriers to any true progress in this country.

There are class differences which are splitting the Democratic party. Urban professions and older boomers with higher incomes, seem to go for the moderate or neoliberal candidates. One can understand that they do not want their taxes skyrocketing. People after all do vote often in their own self interests, but even here, Trump has raised taxes to have them go for war mongering. At least Bernie would let us use our taxes to better lives for average people instead of more corporate subsidies and wars.

Poor people, millennials, blue collar and others like myself support Bernie. While many of these more moderate or neo-liberal people are well intended and are allies on many social issues, economically they are not as keen to any radical changes to the system. Some don't realize that for a majority of Americans, the system is no longer working for them, wages have dropped, cost of living increases to Social Security has flatlined, the jobs are gone, and hope of any corporate involved Democratic politicians making any changes to their daily lives, just isn't going to happen. Many of us realize that Obama gave too much space to Republicans. This helped grow the role of the Democrat party playing good cop to the Republican party being the bad cop.  Another moderate Democratic president like Banker Joe, who will enable Republicans as they grow more extreme will worsen all of our lives economically.

Republicans always scream about the cost of everything and tell people a "better society" is a pipe dream as they pour trillions into the coffers of the billionaires.  Sadly they have gotten people to believe that to improve society would "cost too much", and one can see this influence on neo-liberals and moderates in the Democratic party too. We really have two right wing parties now with the Democrat party having a more moderate "right wing", and a progressive wing. This is a problem. Trump could benefit off the split that is now entrenched in the Democratic party.

Neoliberalism supports capitalism and still believes in that old but now dying concept of the American dream. Old ideas about the "bad commies" here also influence moderate Democrats who are outraged at too many social programs. We are way overdue for a new FDR and investment into failing American infrastructure. What is sad is Trump has plenty of socialism paid out to corporations where more of them don't pay any taxes and his billionaire buddies but people scream bloody murder once someone says maybe the wealth should be shared with average folks and improve their lives and day to day society.

The neoliberal and moderate Democrats still believe in the system. Those with good lives in a system that works for them are going to see the world in an entirely different fashion. For many of the poorer, we realize the system is failing. All I have to do is go down 2 miles down the street to see the shacks, the dead mall, the bridge I am afraid is going to crumble into the river, and know America is not some gleaming suburb like many of these moderates live in, it's becoming a third world country.

The system is not working and this is a HUGE GAP, people who believe in the system are not going to want major changes to it. If they can pay their bills, and live good lives, and have money and savings for their children's college, why upset the apple cart? They see the progressive wing as "radicals" who may upset the nation. Many do preach compromise with the Republican party and I know being the age I am now, the days of bipartisan dealings and compromise were far different before the Republican party became so extreme. Fiscal conservatives weren't necessarily religious extremists.

Some of us have survival at stake. If Trump or others end one social program, Medicare D, or Social Security [SSD in my case] or do the huge 20-30 percent cut to subsistence level checks they have already threatened, my future in America may be short lived. People are dying now from lack of medical care or limited medical care. We know my husband has very limited care where immediate symptoms are treated but there is no diagnosis or long term care. The numbers of homelessness are growing. The same jobs that gave older boomers good lives are no longer there. Millennials are despairing of ever having families or any futures. Suicide rates are skyrocketing up. Gig employment is now growing in number. So many people keep voting for those who want to bring more economic oppression. Obama was in office while disabled people didn't get cost of living increases for over 8 years. Why should people vote for those who have only the same things to offer?

Many of these moderate and neoliberal Democrats simply don't live in the same world economically or otherwise. They are buffered from viewing the extreme poverty in the USA. Sometimes I wonder if some even don't realize it exists. I've met people like that who think America just consists of nice surburban houses and shopping districts with plenty of money. Neoliberal politicians don't  admit the depth of poverty in America. Hillary Clinton in 2016 kept waxing on about the problems of the middle class while ignoring the existence of the working class or poor. In her world, they literally don't exist.

Many moderate and neoliberal Democrats see poverty as only limited to a few "inner city" ghettos and have the empathy to understand that racism is a major problem that has affected African Americans and other minorities and affected many lives. However they still live in this dream bubble that "hard work" can make anyone move up in American society and that America is the "land of opportunity." They can afford healthcare, education and transportation. They have expendable income for different stable lifestyles instead of the people who scramble to live or depend on low income jobs that do constant lay-offs.

What makes this even more complicated is many moderate Democrats are good people, they care about social justice, they are giving people, they have empathy to fight racism and for gay rights, but I do think some don't understand how deeply the system has failed for so many and for the young. They don't understand what it means when young people have lost hope for the future or the fear and angst of Gen X middle aged people who never got to enjoy any stable economic foundations to build a life upon and our realizations that our old age if we live so long will be a very dangerous and precarious one, without any major changes. They don't understand that life in the "ghetto's" is getting harder and harder and there's less jobs for minorities, and that if you drive a little bit even into rural America or further downtown, you can see all the cracks in the facade growing deeper and wider.

Many still believe that education will win the day, and that people can move up in this system, if they work hard enough, and this is simply not true. Meritocracy is not just a religion for Republicans but has influenced Democrats as well. They may remember Roosevelt thinking "He saved America from the Depression" but ignore the fact that on many levels with suppressed wages and globalism, America entered a new Depression 2.0. Here too, classism itself leads to some problems within the Democratic party where "ignorance" and "lack of education" as seen as the poverty producers instead of the injustice built into the system as a whole. As the rules are written for a few winners at the top, and for more to become losers, this is ignored and the myths hold sway about a "level playing field". The moderate/neoliberal Democrat will admit that racism is a bad influence and will stand up for identity politics, but ignore the impact of class.

Even moderate Democrats will complain about free stuff. We know Republicans have been. One thing to note is neoliberals support often the same war machine, that Republicans do. More and more corporations pay no taxes, which makes the tax burden on individuals even worse. Sadly many of these politicians are corporate funded, which means even within the Democratic party, the agendas of the corporations are pushed well over those of the people. Don't forget Democratic politicians get kick backs and are just as bought off. Hillary doesn't mind more war and corporate subsidies but when a politician like Bernie claims he wants to help families, the disabled and average folks, she says he is "promising the moon".

One sign of this is Bloomberg another billionaire being seen as a viable candidate. They rewrote the rules of the debate to let him come in.  We already had one billionaire with Trump and now the moderate/neoliberal Democratic party wants to push another one down our throats. So a billionaire who is out of touch going to care about the needs of people who struggle in America? I doubt it. There's not only "temporarily embarrassed millionaires" who vote Republican but plenty in the Democratic camp too. However for those who have faced tough times long enough, cognitive dissonance gets them to finally face reality. No billionaire is going to fix a system that allowed them to become a billionaire in the first place. As America sinks into fascism, more compromise and moderation is not the answer.

Bernie's Real Obstacle is not Trump, It's the Democratic Establishment

Will the DNC betray us in 2020?

The Democratic Party Deserved to Die

The Democratic Party Deserved to Die

"They said they were facing an economic apocalypse, we offered “retraining” and complained about their white privilege. Is it any wonder we lost? One after another, the dispatches came back from the provinces. The coal mines are gone, the steel mills are closed, the drugs are rampant, the towns are decimated and everywhere you look depression, despair, fear. In the face of Trump’s willingness to boldly proclaim without facts or evidence that he would bring the good times back, we offered a tepid gallows logic. Well, those jobs are actually gone for good, we knowingly told them. And we offered a fantastical non-solution. We will retrain you for good jobs! Never mind that these “good jobs” didn’t exist in East Kentucky or Cleveland. And as a final insult, we lectured a struggling people watching their kids die of drug overdoses about their white privilege. Can you blame them for calling bullshit? All Trump could offer was white nationalism as protection against competing with black and brown people. It wasn’t a very compelling case, but it was vastly superior to a candidate who enthusiastically backed NAFTA, seems most at ease in a room of Goldman Sachs bankers and was almost certain to do nothing for these towns other than maybe setting up a local chapter of Rednecks Who Code. We bet that Trump’s manifest awfulness would be enough to let us eke out a win. We were dead wrong. Here’s my version of the Democratic Party autopsy because, make no mistake, the old ways of the Democratic party must die.
Hillary Clinton’s shortcomings were obvious from the beginning to anyone who bothered to open their eyes."

The thing that kept Democratic party going for decades, was at least trying to look out for the little guy [you know the working class, and others] and when that got kicked to the curb, and they became more like Republicans then they became toast. Both parties more and more merged together in supporting the same agendas. Ask yourself why Obama continued ALL of Bush's wars?

This may shock a few but I was a diehard Democrat for years until around 2001. Then I realized the party wasn't speaking for me anymore and there were other things I didn't agree with. When I became a Christian, that alone made the Democratic party no longer work for me. I still hated the Republican party but where was I going to go? I started at that point voting for as many independents and third party people as I could vote for, but none of them ever won. Sometimes the only thing I voted for that passed would be local measures like millages and other matters.

The Libertarians while excellent on civil liberties and standing up against the police state disappointed me with their worship of Ayn Rand and strain of throw the disabled in the gutter, and their unicorn myths of free markets and banker worship. The Constitutionalists while excellent on ending the Fed and questioning the United Nations seemed gung-ho for false Dominionism and Theocracy and Old Testament edicts. Of course there too the disabled and the poor were not seen in good ways. The Green party while wanting to fix economic issues was more liberal, but at least didn't want to throw the poor in the gutter. Voting got really complicated for me and I probably have ended up with the strangest ballots in the history of America with blanks all over as I tried to vote for the most independent minded ones.

The Democratic party lost touch with the heartland of America.  I read some of the Wikileaks emails, even with random search words of my own and it was all globalism, overtly-antiChristian stuff--remember I am not a Dominionist, and out of touch technocrats to the max. They simply didn't care about average America Joe and Jane.  Bernie Sanders did somewhat because he did talk about the economic suffering of the average America but he was shoved aside for the mega-corporate choice. In fact while reading those emails, I was shocked reading how out of touch they all were with their gloating globalism and lust for empire, and simply not caring about the plights of everyday AmericansHillary's lust for war with Syria, I believe also scared the crap out of millions of Americans, because they knew Russia was pushing back. They imagined millions of mushroom clouds across the landscape. This got Trump voted in too.

Throwing a few social agenda crumbs, wasn't enough either when regular people saw their fortunes massively fall. Remember I do not support Trump and did not vote for him. Hillary was so awful though, what was there to vote for. I and my husband had discussions, where I told him, "She never talks about the economy, in her wealthy world, the status quo is just great. Democratic politicians kept talking about how great the economy was." I thought they were delusional. I voted for one local Christian Democrat woman, she seemed to care about the economy and freedom issues being more independent minded, I chose her for parting from the herd. Hillary didn't.

I hate the Republican party. Tea Partiers make me puke. I don't have the hopes and dreams of Republican party. It's not God's party to me but the party of throw the poor in the gutter, destroy worker's rights, destroy disability and make more money for mega-corporations and the 1 percent. I left my last church over their blind Republicanism and overt praise for war. Yes that pastor preached constantly "Those who don't work, won't eat". I saw smug middle class and above people with the exception of one or two nice ones, who looked down at people like me.

Trump will bring more of the regressive policies, that started this nation down the downward spiral, with Reagan. Why haven't people learned their lesson yet? The guy is against the raising of the minimum wage. Maybe he will end those horrible free trade deals and TPP, but there's far too much crazy horrible baggage to go with it.  His racist, misogynist and blundering ways scare many. Trump still supports the wars, and the police state. He has called for more law and order. In the nation that locks up the most people in the world, is that something we need more of? How about some freedom for once? We now have a guy who was a reality TV actor who owned casinos that had strip clubs in them.

I agreed with a few things Trump said about economy but with the whole picture could NOT support him. He got elected making false promises about the economy while Hillary Clinton acted like everything was just fine, and what a great "recovery" and probably two thirds of the country said, "What Recovery?" and went to vote for Trump.

I believe Trump feigned populist talk, and pretended to care about the poor and suffering of America to get elected. This talk got him elected even with the policies on paper outside a few rescinding of trade deals which will just take us back into more poverty and oppression. It's the same bait and switch game. The bankers want to keep their power, the globalists want the parade to continue. I believe they may even be taking things back to a bit of nationalism to get some war machines humming.

Anyhow this is a scary time in America. The main two parties have failed us. They were designed to, I suppose.

The Democratic Party Lost for Betraying the Working Class and more

As people here know, I am done with the Democratic party. I noticed long ago, that most of my liberal friends lived by the code of censorship. How did this happen? There are some stand out exceptions to this rule, people who respect the consciences of others, but it got scary.  Right now, I am seeing multiple liberal friends on my Facebook, unfriending anyone who is a Republican or supports Trump. Some have gone so far to write, "If you voted for Trump, unfriend me now!"  Their boisterous political demands have put me on edge, but I only told a few who I am voting or not voting for.

I have laid low on politics on my social media, so they have not unfriended me and some know I do not support Trump although I am no longer a Democrat. It's scary to watch though. I feel leery of some liberal people because it is so easy to say the wrong thing. I have some good liberal friends I can be "me" around but it's walk on eggshells time with others.  Kavanagh on the video at 1:92:10 talks about how people hit the wall of "no" and how thinking is shut down.  He's right during Covid they shut down discussing issues in depth. Many people noticed that among many liberals, one couldn't talk about certain topics, they would get angry. I lost count how many times I was shut down.

I agree with this commenter in the chat replay:

Questioneverything
Tribalism and "living in a bubble" is just as strong among the Neolib Establishment Dems and their devoted acolytes as it is among MAGA Trumpists. Both crazed cults that won't deal with real issues.

Many and it is not all, but far too many in number especially on the liberal side, believe they are to throw away and "cancel" anyone with different politics. Politics is such a mess. Something changed after Covid, where friendly disagreement no longer was allowed. The country seems ready to rip each other to shreds. How many are questioning this? Only a few. One online acquaintance told me "forced teaming" can be abusive. I thought that is an interesting phrase.

The Democratic party became so elitist, they pride themselves so much on being "educated". Democrats are supposedly the enlightened "smart" ones while Republicans are drooling hillbillies who can't think their way out of a paper bag.  Book knowledge battles common sense. The ivory white towers have their limitations, it's called the real world. They lost touch with the common man, and playing experts who demanded unquestioning obedience just made resentment grow. Also some people were smart enough to see through the games, and the medical threats like the Covid vaccines. They didn't trust an "expert" class who became obedient megaphones for the ruling class.

Garland Nixon talks about the tyranny of the academic class see around 14:00 mark] and I agree. The mentality in some circles was, "We are smarter than you, so shut up!" Yes, what if their consensus is a bunch of bullcrap? For the truly intellectual, one is suspicious when you are told to just accept something without evidence. He is right that too many of the academics became spokesmen for the Ruling Elite!

My own feelings about the educated class are somewhat jaded. I'm too poor to elevate the academics and others who all seem to talk alike and crush down independent thinking. There always seemed to be a love of status quo and conformity among some of the academic class. Some educated people brought love of arts and great things to my life, however I differed politically with some. In my case, I had some intellectual chops to debate a few, they always seem unsettled by me. I get reactions like "You are such a challenging thinker" or "You have a unique view of the world".  They seemed so afraid themselves of saying the "wrong" thing. I know how the people who Toby Roberts calls the "bougiecrats" think and how they see the world. I don't want to piegon hole people here, there's plenty of exceptions, even Camille Paglia came out of the university system too.

Some are very well intended but the educated and wealthy liberal class has some major blind spots. We saw that with Covid. They still believe Covid vaccines "work", they truly believe things like "open borders" will work. Sometimes if one lives in a cushion of affluence, a false reality can come in. If one is within a system that rewards you, you aren't going to question or battle that system very much. This saying applied to millions especially during Covid..."It can be very hard to understand something, when misunderstanding it is essential to your paycheck."

The affluent rewarded by the system will more easily believe politicians and megacorporations and that others tell the truth. There can be idealism that has good motives but can leave people blinded to how the world really works. They haven't been harmed or threatened for being late on a bill. The trains of their life run on time while for the poor they crashed in a heap long ago. All these circumstances give people different world views.

Some became super-pro Capitalist, ignoring and excusing the damages of the money system to the poor and more. They don't seem to live in reality anymore, they rejected moral foundations for post-modernism. For some with weaker consciences, power, money and the system started to count for far more than justice. Republicans claim morality but it's thrown overboard by some there too for cash and "progress" just as much. This is why Musk builds rockets instead of feeding the poor or building libraries like Carnegie. Chris Hedges warned about the "The Death of the Liberal Class." One could see this change years ago.

I knew something was very wrong when I started hearing fellow liberals decrying "freedom of speech" and heard first hand the fascist talk such as all the unvaccinated should be herded into camps. Most started seeing that the Democratic party years ago claimed to be for the average working man, and for "freedom" but people knew it was no longer true. Middle America remembered the old days when FDR helped the poor but those days are over now.  The pressures to look at the evil on the other side with Trump just like Goldstein in the book 1984 has destroyed any semblance of self-reflection among many liberals. This is why some can't even question or face the harm being done to kids via the trans movement or give a damn about all the American citizens who are finding themselves living in tents because they lost their jobs to more globalism or waves of immigration to their small town.

My sneers came out when I remember those days, at protests where then fellow liberals would chant, "This is what Democracy looks like!" and I thought how ironic. If this is democracy than the world has gone nuts! I told one friend, I could never vote for Biden or Harris because I had the time of fear of them forcing mRNA on me, and having to run to the woods just to stay alive. I couldn't overlook it, and that was that.

Most average working people who lived paycheck to paycheck, know the system no longer cares about them. The working class and poor have been so disenfranchised and Republicans are just better at exploiting it, maybe some of it is saving face, "I'll take care of myself I don't need the government!". Everyone wants hope and a hero. I don't blame them. Being a person who hates both parties, I am realistic to know most see that as a cynical and hopeless position, but then it keeps us in the trap of the pendulum swinging does it not?  The problem is, they will be just betrayed all over again.

I predicted in 2023, that Biden [well later it was Harris as his protege] would lose. "Its the Economy Stupid!" This doesn't mean things will get better now with Mr. Give Tax Cuts to the Ultra Wealthy.

I learned I am a moderate over these past years in some ways. I don't hold the same values as today's Democratic party. I have some conservative views, that never did "fit" anyhow. I probably have more affinity for the conservative side on some issues now but then being disabled and poor, that doesn't fit either. Where are the old school liberals who supported unions and were anti-war? I still agree with those things although those liberals seem very rare in number now. Really there's no voice for poor and working class people out there among either party. People just wanted economic suffering to end, but sadly we have two OWNED parties that are basically a Corporatocracy. Too many Dems threw economic concerns and real social justice overboard for niche and extremist identity politics. The suffering working class, turned to Trump. He will betray them too but the Democratic party had little to offer them either.

Watching Nick Johnson videos, I understood WHY some wanted to vote for Trump. They were sick of inflation, having their jobs taken away, and tired of the Democratic parties love of endless waves of immigration. I agreed with many Republican friends who were Trump supporters about many issues. When Trump said, "They are eating the dogs, they are eating the cats", he diverted in a racist way from the real issues in Springfield Ohio, Democrats simply didn't care either, that American citizens were losing their jobs, some sent off to a homeless camp for corporations to hire in immigrants at far lower wages.  Learn the real story of what is happening. The core problem is more corporate greed and destroyed lives. They are now meddling in human trafficking.

Middle America is fed up with woke garbage too. Garland Nixon is right about Woke being used to put a false moral veneer on an immoral economic system, military and foreign policy. [1:13:11] One reason I could not vote for Kamala Harris was the genocide in Gaza. I don't want bad things happening to Jews and Israelis either, but I have been horrified by that monster Netyanhu bombing the hell out of children and innocent people. They've wiped out apartment buildings and whole city blocks full of human beings just trying to live their lives. Why was that acceptable to liberals? Biden after all kept sending billions of dollars to Israel along with the Ukraine.

As I have written multiple times, the ruling class and elite have used "woke" policies and mantras to distract from real economic issues as they clean out the tills. I got tired of the "culture wars" while in fundamentalism that ignored the plight of the poor and other suffering people but now on the left I see the same exact thing. The same slavish devotion to the ruling class, the same bowing to experts who don't really know anything more, the same warmongering etc. etc.

Most people don't like racism, and want all people given a fair shake. They don't like people being reduced to just their labels of whatever race, gender or other groups they happen to belong too.  Everything became so extreme. This ranged from CRT to the claims of "white supremacy" and the extremes of the trans movement.  Even there most reasonable people say live and let live, adults can make choices as long as they don't harm others, but then people started noticing they kept promoting this to kids. I realized there was a social contagion element to the trans stuff when even I knew several families where a child or young adult child in those families had all decided to become trans.

I believe the trans movement is related to transhumanism. It's a way to usurp identity and make one more beholden/owned by the system. Most average Americans aren't going to go to like their children being told they must have body parts cut off to be the "right sex". Even this treatment of gender dysmorphia, hopefully one day will go the way of lobotomies. In the video Kavanagh says "it doesn't work". [many people don't realize this or the real physical outcomes] and he talks about how people don't want kids having surgical interventions. [1:18:19] He's right about the "checklist" one must follow on the left else people attempt to censor you, and this is one subject I have seen this happen personally. Adults are being fooled and not given full informed consent to all the extreme medical problems that can come.

People are afraid for their kids. I have talked to people who got worried about their kids being indoctrinated. There are gay people now like Gays against Groomers who don't like how kids are being targeted. Some lesbians and others are wondering why women only spaces aren't allowed anymore. They are worried about WHY there are so many girls who simply don't want to be female anymore.

Hate to be this blunt but when you learn the nitty-gritty of what is DONE to people and read the heartbreaking stories of detransitioners who know there's no going back, that stuff alone is enough to have people turn away in disgust. Adults can do what they want but when they want to unload hormones on kids that will render them infertile or stop any adult sexual functioning, or get young people of age and sometimes not of age like Jazz Jennings to cut body parts off, something has gone very wrong. Middle America is not having it.

Some people recognize evil for what it is. Some of us will call out insanity even if it is not popular to do so. I saw other changes too, I wanted to throw up with disgust when I saw the DNC allowed Planned Parenthood to offer "free abortions" at their convention. That's moving well beyond safe, rare and legal. Some will probably say here, "well you did use to be a fundamentalist" but nowadays I think I was on a better track in some ways. I've returned to faith but remain churchless as of now. The Democratic party became just as war mongering as the Republican party. The liberal world has gone nuts.

Add in the Covid tyranny stuff, middle America, watched loved ones die and get health effects from the Covid vaccines. They censored the news, but do you think they censored the streets?
People are still suffering from the lock-downs to this day. Both parties played a role in this, one reason I could not vote for Trump is he was Daddy Vaxx and started the whole mess, but the Democrats are the ones who tried to force an experimental medical product with serious side effects on the public! Unforgiveable!

I wrote about some of these happenings such as when an autism group on Zoom, had members announce in 2023, they didn't allow unvaccinated people in their lives. I also have written about how the changing left, and increased "wokeism" led to my separation and leaving the Unitarian Universalist church.

There were so many places where I got driven off of for having different opinions on everything from Covid, to the trans movement I do see the Democratic party as becoming a "woke cult" like Garland Nixon above. It did occur to me, how the Democratic party threw away all semblances of social justice, worker's rights and economic matters. The neo-liberals won. When they announced that Cheney supported Harris, they basically announced to us all, the Overton window had shifted, there was no difference from today's Democratic party than the neocons of 20 years ago.  They may as well have flown a banner saying "We are the Establishment". Kavanagh on the video points out that Dick Cheney was a deal breaker for Democrats just 10 years ago! [34:06] Back then just about all liberals considered Cheney the devil! After all they had the same qualities with the war mongering and all. I wrote for years on this blog since Covid how I believed the Democratic party betrayed all semblances of democracy and became authoritarian. I still believe that now.

I can never forgive them for this, nor should anyone else. Around my area, I know liberals still lining up for boosters even now, for some the Covid shots seem like their annual ritual for state obedience, or something. Are they living under rocks? They never heard of "Died Suddenly?" Seeing 4-5 boast of their 2024 boosters on my Facebook was nuts.

That said, I did not become a Republican, and did not vote for Trump. I could not support Harris either. I did vote for some local Democrats and Republicans [in my county some races are uncontested] and other third party but there I was choosing by the individual. It was a fraught process. Voting seems a more useless endeavor year by year. At least the Drain Commissioner I voted for got in. Realizing two men running as judges in the state, were tied to extreme Dominionists gave me fits, I voted for the liberals but then had the horrible thought, what if they allow future oppression in a new pandemic? My cognitive dissonance went off the charts.

There were times, I considered not voting at all anymore even for state and local races. When you hate both parties it can be a hellish experience, trying to consider who will do the "least damage" to the lives of others and your own life. Maybe voting for any of them was wrong. I voted for liberal judges fearing Medicaid and Medicare being wiped away in my state, hoping these same judges wouldn't one day put me on a boxcar for refusing mRNA. I voted for one pro-union liberal for affordable housing in my town because the other candidate was a money man, helping to gentrify the hell out of this place.

Bernie called out the Democratic party for abandoning the working class. Of course they did, long ago. I do not believe either of the two main parties care about the average American. My own poverty and class position definitely affected my political outlooks. Well we all know why they blocked out populist Bernie for sell out Biden!

Life got really weird for me, when I noticed more well-off liberal friends on my social media, kept claiming the economy was doing great! Its like the poor were invisible to them. They simply erased the existence of the poor and working class. Sure a few kind souls lamented over a few poor minority people in the ghetto, but they seemed to lack the knowledge that most Americans are poorer, this includes all colors. As Garland Nixon mentions almost 50% can't cover a 400 dollar emergency.

Maybe some really do live in affluent bubbles where they never see another poor person. I had one friend where we disagreed about the economy but she is a good friend and didn't negate my suffering but with others, they insisted the economy is wonderful. I felt gaslighted. Now imagine the whole country was being gaslighted. Harris lost as she nattered on about the "middle class" over and over. She couldn't use the phrase "working class"? The other day I read in an article that she was told to go easy on big business, by her Uber owning brother in law, big mistake! They only care about their wealthy donors!

I wrote this article, "Booming Economy? Not for All of Us" talking about how I was being gaslit about the economy being told it was great as my household imploded. Now imagine that being done to an entire country. It basically was. People got tired of it. The Democratic party doesn't plan to learn from this, since some are already calling out Bernie telling him he's wrong like Pelosi. People are noticing many of these politicians who are average rich when they get into office become mega rich once they are in making millions of dollars. Kavanagh is right about the sanctimonious hypocrisy that turns off voters.

As people know, I consider the two party system a joke. Two wings of the same bird. Both function mainly for the 1 percent and mega-rich. They are not public servants but public parasites who prop up the billionaires and trillionaires [like Musk]. Some ask why should there even be billionaires? Trump's new "golden age" doesn't mean more gold for you but propping up those who already hoard the gold.

The "golden age" is going to outdo the gilded age, and the Democratic party helped make it happen!

Authoritarian America: The Path To Tyranny

How Democrats Lost Their Populist Soul

"For most Americans, the institutions that touch their lives are unreachable. Americans get b
roadband through Comcast, their internet through Google, their seeds and chemicals through Monsanto. They sell their grain through Cargill and buy everything from books to lawnmowers through Amazon. Open markets are gone, replaced by a handful of corporate giants. Political groups associated with Koch Industries have a larger budget than either political party, and there is no faith in what was once the most democratically responsive part of government: Congress. Steeped in centralized power and mistrust, Americans must now confront Donald Trump, the loudest and most grotesque symbol of authoritarianism in politics today.

“This,” wrote Robert Kagan in The Washington Post, “is how fascism comes to America.” The nation is awash in commentary and fear over the current cultural moment. “America is a breeding ground for tyranny,” wrote Andrew Sullivan in New York magazine. Yet, Trump’s emergence would not be a surprise to someone like Patman, or to most New Dealers. They would note that the real-estate mogul’s authoritarianism is not new in American culture; it is ubiquitous. It is consistent with how the commercial sphere has developed since the 1970s. Americans feel a lack of control: They are at the mercy of distant forces, their livelihoods dependent on the arbitrary whims of power. Patman once attacked chain stores as un-American, saying, “We, the American people, want no part of monopolistic dictatorship in … American business.” Having yielded to monopolies in business, the nation must now face the un-American threat to democracy Patman warned they would sow."

Trump is an end result of this growing tyranny and authoritarianism. So is Clinton with her being owned by corporate interests. Neither address poor people in America. Populism was killed off in the Democratic party too. Trump wants to bring back Reaganomics and failed 'trickle down' theories of 40 years duration which have led us to the 1 percent growing stronger in power.

Clinton is owned by Monsanto and a wide variety of corporations.

Woody Guthrie and pals would be spinning in their graves to see what has happened today. Steinbeck would not have his book, "The Grapes of Wrath" published but would be informed by his publisher to write a book celebrating wealthy bankers and their troubles.

I won't argue with anyone about who they are voting for.  I know most who have decided to vote, are doing hold their noses votes from the waif of the Turd Sandwich and Giant Douche. Some want to vote for one to protect their interests and the other for his words against globalism. I don't trust either and do not plan to vote for either. Trump scares me worse then the other one in terms of negative impacts on my personal life. The last thing I look forward to is a CRUSH THE POOR REPUBLICAN in power, we are barely making it as it is.  The Democratic party's rejection of the poor and losing of it's POPULIST SOUL, allowed the Republicans to go crazy with power.

One thing however this article is correct about the Democratic party losing it's populist soul. I am old enough to remember despite the failings of the Democratic party presently, in earlier decades the Democratic party at least made the attempt to speak of the "little guy" and poor people and supported unions. They spoke of "rights" and "justice".  There are social issues I disagreed with the Democratic party even back then, but there was at least some semblance of speaking out for the working class and others.

This has been replaced with the support for the NDAA and trying to whip up war fever with Russia. Hillary Clinton is a globalist who does not put American interests first. I know people saw Obama, as a "good guy" but all I know personally is over the last 8 years, my disability check got cut to nothing. No COLAS means the checks have grown smaller and smaller. So I do not see the Democrat party as this great behemoth of freedom either. They are in cahoots with the bankers, and same war mongers as the Republican party too.

As a person who fully participated in the anti-war movement of the early 2000s, the anti-war movement was even destroyed on the left, which to me is a sign of the growing authoritarianism and rejection of populism in our culture.  No one in America really supports those Middle Eastern wars, but they kept running under Obama's sojourn, with our growing national debt. Now the insane want even more wars. Americans do not understand how these wars were planned and how they are NOT in the interest of the average America. The big behemoths want to keep the war machine running. Now the left supports war.

All the ideals have been thrown away for bankers and corporations. The Democratic party did unload the populists, and shut them out. Bernie Sanders losing to Hillary Clinton would be a core example of this. America is growing more authoritarian and one can see the effects in both parties which BOTH support the police state, wars and endless crack downs and rules.

This has become a nation of rule-followers and conformists who worry more about banker credit scores [slave scores] then actual freedom, justice and a positive future. Everything has grown too big, the companies are no longer personal or owned by small business owners but are huge mega-corporations with globalist interests that supersede any idea of loyalty to any country or region. These same traits apply to the politicians as well.

Trump seems to be touted as a "nationalist" but even that is just a story that is being sold. He preaches America First tactics, but then also claims he will bring "law and order".  Trump doesn't care about the Constitution either, in his support of "stop and frisk" laws. Dictators make the trains run on time and make a big deal of "order". The orange faced man is used to getting his way. He is not someone who will think words like "compromise" and "working things out".

The 20 year old parking tickets, is just one small injustice among many but there, that came from a Democratic strong hold. I thought to myself, why has no one in Chicago campaigned against this? Surely I am not the first victim. It seems in America people have given up even making a stand for their own rights. It's something I am noticing. You see a lot of shrugged shoulders and that's just the system. America has become a fearful place. Everyone's too afraid to speak out. People accept crushing bills for health insurance, fines, fees and rules that have grown more and more insane.  That is a sign of tyranny because people fear the "punishments" that await.

Even Democrats became wealth worshippers and sychophants to the bankers along with their Republican "enemies". The crushing and oppressions have become so manifold, they see no hope and have given up in even speaking out for their own interests. Even this is based in the growing authoritiarianism.

People literally have been Stock-holmed Syndromed and gas-lighted into supporting more sociopaths. The worship of the wealthy since the 1980s has too reached a zenith with Trump. Trump became a celebrity just for being rich during the "greed is good" days. Doesn't anyone remember this? In authoritarian America, the uber-wealthy are seen as gods. This is one facet of a country that has lost it. Authoritarians want the powerful, wealthy and sociopathic worshipped. Boot-licking is now the norm. Trump can insult women and still get supporters. Clinton can have crimes exposed and even her own husband impeached but she is still deemed a nominee of worth.

In this system, there is to be no mercy, only punishment.  Might makes right. Only money-clean outs by the powerful who offer no breaks. The prisons are to be kept full and used for corporate slavery and those who speak out for prisoner rights or even the new Jim Crow, are called insane.

One reason I am no longer in a church, is the growing authoritarianism of America, has not only taken hold of politics but religion as well. As Smakintosh has talked about, the church system has become enablers for oppression and tyranny. The same enablers for tyranny have taken over in both politics and religion.  I got tired of being told to obey man. Right now the churches are preaching "Vote for Trump!". I left just in time. I could not tolerate this. All of my old IFB members are Trump supporters.

The churches pushed patriarchy and Romans 13 became one of the most favorite verses of the pastors, in their mis-translation that people are to obey world authorities instead of heavenly authorities, they taught from pulpits absolute obedience to the system. I know in the IFB world I was always seen as a semi-rebel even if I shared in the Christian faith with my fellow church members.

When they preached war from that church I left from the pulpit, I later had the thought, America seems to be a country now where everything is about smashing and "winning" and crushing opponents and blind obedience. Many seem to support tyranny now.  This is why Trump is a good guy to them worthy of support because Trump wins. He may crush opponents to do so, but he has gained their respect. Half the country wants a "strong man" to "make the trains" run on time and to crack down on the ghettos. No one talks about reforming anything. Everything is about punishment and "crushing enemies".

Too many are too deluded to figure out that what came for the inner cities years and years ago is coming for them, and the court system and justice system has already started their oppressions they reserved for miniority races for all who lack the means to pay their way out of the system. This is why an overtly racist man like Trump can "win". The left pissed off people with their endless nonsense about "privilege" to people seeing their economic fortunes sink and having this reality ignored, and then came in Trump. "Trump will save us!" What an absolute joke. I am not fooled.

I have noticed in my own life, how authoritarianism rules here, "Don't have the money, you deserve to be PUNISHED!" It's funny how so much in America is based in punishment now. Every country that doesn't obey us is to be blown up to smithereens, and every American citizen without a perfect slave score and who doesn't have a full bank account to pay endless fees and fines is to be crushed too. Apartments threaten people with eviction. You are told you will lose your license for one forgotten fine or bill. Fines are doubled and tripled so 15 dollars turns into 200 dollars. Pay late, and the bill gets added to. Economic oppression is just one avenue of a system going full blown into tyranny. Trump will make all of this worse.

The Democrat party in my opinion is part of the problem too. No one there is bothering to speak of more freedom or a better life for anyone. It's just more business and banker and mega-corporation status quo. Readers here know I have no lost love for the Republicans too.

The Republican Party Scares Me

It scares me that we have ended up with two such bad candidates, and Trump is the epitome of a country gone "wrong" where tyranny is growing and worship of sociopaths and "strong men" has increased.

Will the DNC Betray us in 2020?

The DNC keeps shoving establishment people down our throat, Biden being the biggest one.It almost like the DNC wants Trump re-elected. I understand why Bernie made the choice to work within the two party system, we know without fail they close the third parties and their candidates out.

I used to be into conspiracy, you know the kind that says both sides work together. After I deconverted, I was able to assert myself as a progressive.

However sometimes I still think of that conspiracy stuff, and those DNC jerks seem like they are pulling all stops to put Biden in to lose to Trump ON PURPOSE.

Bernie's biggest hope is that people ignore mainstream media and that there are enough young people who realize Bernie is being ousted from the mainstream media. The CNN debates were biased against Bernie, he was left out [by mistake--yeah right] from one NPR report. If Trump can use Twitter hopefully since most younger people, Gen X on down will ignore the dinosaur news shows that give us nothing but more of the same.

I hope this time, cooked up "superdelegates" and other bullshit aren't used to push Bernie out like they were in 2016.

Remember when I wrote this article?

The Democratic Party Deserves to Die

I have my regrets as I was still drinking the Christian fundamentalist Kool-Aid at the time, about to bust out as my cognitive dissonance was growing so great, but you will notice at least the Republican party never grabbed my votes. How could they? I was too poor. I had the intelligence to know Trump was a liar.

I still feel the Democratic party betrayed us all in 2016 and sadly it seems like they got the mainstream media and rest geared up to do it again. They are shoving Banker Joe down our throat, whose so sold out, he even told people he'd pick a Republican running mate. If you are being crushed by student loans, thank Joe Biden, as he helped to advance the laws that made them non-dischargeable in bankruptcy. Some people have gotten upset with me, saying you got to get the Orange Sociopath out of office even if you have to vote for Joe! My dismay grows here, thinking again we will be given two non-choices. Get out the barf bags yet again to choose a guy that is just another neo-liberal out for the megacorporations, who may as well be a Republican. I have already decided I won't call myself a Democrat anymore if they succeed in shoving Biden down our throats.

In the ACON world, we are all concerned about abusers and admit their ENABLERS, the people who stand by and support your abusers cause us as much pain, in their defenses and handing power over to abusers. The Democratic party outside the AOC and Bernie branch, seems like a henpecked enabler parent saying to the hellbent sociopathic one, "Whatever you want dear" while kicking all vulnerable members of society to the curb.

Ever notice most establishment Democratic politicians are always weak and in the subservient position?  They are always making compromises or backing down to extremist Republicans. This is because too many of them are on the same corporate and billionaire pay-rolls. Outside Bernie, it's going to be all business as usual. Even Warren and Pete B. are making constant concessions to their economic masters!
I still plan to vote for Bernie though now it seems like just a way make a rhetorical stand. I also go vote, no one I vote for wins but I vote on principle, because I believe some semblance of democracy is important.  One conspiracy is that the voting computers just put in whoever the elite want. I do not think there are enough stupid people to vote for Boris Johnson in England, so maybe Diebold got a hold of their voting machines too. Sorry if I sound cynical here.

Trump sometimes seems to be a reality actor the elites put into place. Perhaps the truth is just that he is a slow rich jerk who rode Daddy's coat-tails to fame and money and is just bluffing his way through for a job he never was qualified for. Most of his antics seem like bullshit to me, like going after Greta, the man is almost a caricature of the worse president ever which he is.

I don't support giving up, we should still vote and protest, but something has gone very wrong when most people are very broke or struggling and right wing assholes still keep getting into office without nary a problem. There's only so many Christian extremists and rich boomers to vote for these people.

Sometimes I feel a spark of hope, that Bernie could get in, he at least seems to care a bit, and wants life to be better for the average person.

Both Parties Betraying Us for the Globalists

A friend wrote this. I asked her if I could share it. We have very similar outlooks about the Democratic party and more. Many people out there are now politically homeless. I believe the environment is messed up and support helping it, but the "climate change" stuff is about them enriching themselves at our expense, otherwise there'd be a community garden on every street corner. I believe the fires in Canada are being led by the WEF for climate-change lock-down especially as the deaths and misery from the bad air pile up--more on that later. What happens is as they screw over both sides, convergence occurs and they move the populace to where they want them. The old formula of divide and conquering keeps on rolling. The Democrats right now don't care as people are crushed by inflation and are more busy with the trans "color revolution" and committed to "identity politics" as our lives crash and burn. Republicans are more busy rolling back all the Social Safety nets and adding to the outrage. None of them care about our collapsing lives either. My own disgust for the Democratic party remains for their support of Covid tyranny and mandating poisonous clot jabs. I believe like my friend most ordinary people are well-intentioned but being misled, the psychopaths are the one running things.

"Every democratic economically developed nation provides these safety nets for their citizens as well as having a medical overview board, and a department of education.

I am more worried about the totalitarianism of the left than giving poor folks a bit of money to stay alive.

I am worried more about the Democrats taking away our freedom of speech, the left is working with social media to censor and deem misinformation whatever doesn't fit their agenda, the culture that cancels people for using WORDS, fricking WORDS that they don't like, and the loss of our health, and health care decisions basic on the big pharma stuff.  It is totalitarianism.

I used to vote democratic, after the jabs I am a woman without a party.

I think the powers that be use neurolinguistic programming - brainwashing and control of the media to appeal to the elements that are most important to our moral development.  I think they are working together to get us all under some control, while the left is responsible for the paragraphs above, the right is responsible for taking away our freedoms of choice about our sexuality, our birth choices, the constitutional violations of separating church and state.  Ultimately, they will make their followers feel good about all these freedom restrictions, by making it somehow a Christian thing.

Democratic voters think with the emotional side of their brain.  They want social justice, without looking at how some programs, like welfare when it began - forcing poor wives to get a divorce to get the money to feed their kids.

Republican voters think with their logical or reason side of their brain.  They believe everybody should be accountable responsible for where they are in life, and blame it on those individuals suffering, not capable of understanding the complexity of unemployment, traumatic childhoods, no strong family to tell you want to do all the time.

This is how both parties take away our stuff, our rights, and steal money surreptitiously from our taxes, with complex, dirty methods.  By using the perfect language to brainwash us.  (which BTW was perfected for use in politics with Frank Lundt, who came up with death tax, and oil exploration and he wrote the entire republican playbook, to teach republican elected officials how to program their constituents, but the democrats do it too, with less finesse.)

Their ultimate goal is to subjugate us, limit the prosperity of the middle class, with all this climate change bullshit.  Decimate the middle class, who the ones in charge of who we elected, because they hate us the most.  And to make the poor even poorer by forcing them to birth children.

My eyes woke up so much when I started understanding the motivations of each party, and when I knew that 50% of the citizens that don't vote the same way I do, aren't necessarily stupid, or evil.  I studied it for a long time, and put my basic findings in a public album on FB.  (I've got more to add.)

Very few people on either side are actually evil psychopaths.  Most of all of us have good intentions and reasonable reasons why they care for what they care for, and why they favor one party over the other.

It's the far left as well as the far right who are ushering all this bs in, by believing that their way is the only way, and by demeaning, and hating the other side.  That is precisely what they both want, to distract us while they destroy our constitution, or democracy, our prosperity, our dignity, our freedoms.....behind our backs by laundering the money we all (middle class anyway) pay into their coffers."

She then wrote this. I believe she is right about the changes in policies. The WEF writes right on their website, google because I do not want to link to them..."WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM", and their goals and plans for our lives, this includes the prison-like 15 minute city crap, to their plans for shutting down farms--all these things are being instituted in Europe right now and already some of it is coming to the USA. They are impoverishing us. The working class and poor people like me, we are already sinking under the waves. I'm going to blog on this later, but income that sustained I and my husband just a year ago isn't. I may have to shut down my entire life yet again with more losses, due to economic destruction. They are destroying the quality of our lives, and already did so with Covid, now with the dirty air, and more just wait as they strip even more away including our freedom of movement, and access to resources. China is already under a social credit system where one has to be face scanned to enter parks, and that is the life the WEF supports here. Some well intended people support carbon credits, they think it will stop the destruction of the environment but they do not realize how this will destroy the lives of poor and even middle class people. Say goodbye even to short day trips, or being able to afford air conditioning or food once they charge people for carbon credits or connect those to a digital pass. The corporations are not going to impose on themselves, they are going to impose on you and me.

"I just posted this on a green fb page:

Smart cities will crash us all into densely populated urban areas, where a drive out into the country will become illegal, because of our net zero carbon foot print. We will have to take public transportation, share kitchens, rent many things we no longer will afford to own. Private property will become too expensive for the middle class, as our energy and other taxes go up, and are given to poorer, more corrupt nations under the guise of equity. Our freedoms and our constitution will be voided in the effort of multilateralism, communism as treaties with the WHO, WEF and the UN supersede our nation's laws, and our way of life will be over.

Wealthy nations like America will be hit the hardest, as our wealth is redistributed to these more corrupt, poorer nations again in the name of equity (giving more to people who need it, even if they lack merit, or make laws and regulations good for their people.) Our national borders will be nonexistent. Corporate stakeholders will own all of us and they will own everything. The uber-wealthy will be the only ones with enough energy points to take a plane on a vacation or even drive to Yosemite or see the Grand Canyon. For the rest of us, we will only see flowers, nature, and beauty via virtual reality goggles.

Just google the World Economic Forum and the World Health Organization and read the minutes of their meetings using your gut, your intuition and your common sense while reading.

Our government no longer cares a bit about us."

Narcissists and Our Corrupt Political System: Can It Be Fixed?

Why are the desires of the religious right being shoved down our throats?  The will of the American people is being ignored in multiple areas. This was a country built on self governance, but whose governing it now? I even told my husband seeing Trump's attempt to lower the poverty definitions, it's like they think of the most evil things they can do and go for it.

Our political system has been bought off and paid for by the uber-wealthy. The needs of the average person in healthcare, the economy and much more are being ignored and crushed for the needs of the greedy. The right wing seems to rule without hesitation making everyone suffer more. Weak-willed DINOS, Democrats in name only, bow down and lick the boots of the religious right Republicans who want all of us except the most wealthy to suffer.

Even with the abortion law in Georgia, that governor was voted in via corruption, Brian Kemp was in charge of the election vote counting process. He didn't remove himself. So now Georgia has an insane law on the books, that is extreme and draconian where a woman can be investigated for murder for having a miscarriage. Is this something the public wanted? I doubt it.

Our government is growing more and more corrupt, everything is about domination, power, control, and punishment. This is not a government for the people or by the people but by wealthy vested interests in profit. The narcissists and sociopaths are ruling. Orange Cheeto is still loved even as he passes more laws and policies to make people suffer more. You ever see that guy support anything that does anyone any good or eases a burden for anyone? I sure don't.

Sociopaths and narcissists are really good at fooling people into thinking they are great. Most rule by fear, but then even with all the fear, some manage to fool people into thinking they are wonderful people. All these narc patriarchs and matriarchs of many a narcissistic family cult, play the fear games while helping out a few of their chosen types. They are fakes but people believe the masks. There's still people who believe Trump cares. How did they get so fooled?

Some of us who are ex-Scapegoats now watch the American political system and it reminds us exactly of how our families operated with tons of lies, corruption, and double-talk. There is a charismatic popular narc or sociopath at the helm, defining everyone's reality and silencing their enemies. Many are fooled and in thrall. There was enough people from 4chan, Alex Jone's Infowars, and the Tea Party to see Trump as a Savior. Sadly many remain in thrall, even after his tax hand-out to his wealthy buddies. We saw that too where our narcissists could get away with whatever cruelty they wanted and people still would not wake up. They still followed without question.

Trump is operating just like many of them. Notice all his investigations folded. How did he get Mueller to roll over? What things happened behind the scenes to allow him to get away with so much? I've been in groups of people with a narc in the room, and even some would discuss the bad things that narcissists did, they screwed over this person, they lied about that person, but no one dared to challenge their power and we see this happening with Trump.

One reason the Democratic party has lost the plot bringing people in like Biden, is many progressives believe in cooperation and talking things out but sociopaths on the right exploit this 'empathy' pushing forth even more insane laws getting Democrats especially the sold out neo-liberal types to compromise. This is one reason the Democratic party has moved more and more to the right with every passing year. Young people are trying to push real progressive agendas, but they are already being shut out by the monied class.

The narcissists are running the asylum. The rules forming the gerrymandering are no longer fair. We see them all supporting each other. This is why for every societal problem, they offer oppression and punishment. Did anyone ever consider when it came to abortion, that if birth control was improved, or accessible, we may have a day where no one would ever need or want an abortion? Nope, they just want to lock all the women up, outlaw birth control too and threaten people. Why are people paying billions to insurance companies  and middle men, instead of financing a decent medical care system? Our country is self destructing under the narcissist's sway. America is regressing. The corruption has taken over.

Can it be stopped? One thing about narcissists, is they get people to believe that things have to be hard and cold. "This is the way things always have been", "This is all you deserve". People are conditioned, into the very wealthy and powerful grabbing all the goodies for themselves. One sees this now where people are conditioned into the right wing saying "Nothing comes for free" or even the idea that life must be based around suffering and pain instead of life being improved for everyone. This is one role where toxic religion plays a strong role in the control matrix.

I often think America's only hope is to face down narcissism. Writing this blog, I have faced so many trolls it's not funny. There's a lot of vested interests, I discovered this on Facebook where, they don't want people talking about how the wicked gain their control or the corrupt tools in their toolbox. What if we had a society where we had a change in culture, where we faced down the lies of the narcissists and sociopaths? Where we taught young people to reject scapegoating? Where we changed the mindset where the poor and powerless and disenfranchised were no longer blamed but elevated? Sadly these narcissists got people to scapegoat all the marginalized as being at fault for everything. The poor didn't make the rules where people were to be exploited by employers, landlords, schools, insurance companies and banks. They didn't make it so the bills grew far bigger then the paychecks, or where life became nothing but a drudge exercise to survive. Narcissists like Cheeto Hitler are good at deflection. Sadly it works.

This hatred and cruelty has existed from time memorial, but sadly it's worsening. Why are all the laws being passed out to harm people and crush them? Why does the religious right hold so much power in a country where they only are a certain small segment of the population? Our country has been bought out by megacorporate and wealthy interests, they have sold this place down the river. Have you noticed like I have, that none of us have a voice any more? They've written the rules to suit themselves.

Is this the future America wants? A religious right, Republic of Gilead hellscape sponsored by Trump and his evangelical advisors who preach prosperity gospel lies to their deluded and aging flocks? A neo-liberal Capitalist megacorporate society where the rents have risen so high, only the very rich can live in the city while the poor are pushed out to American's new version of favelas? Democracy is dying in America. There's no representation in our representative Republic when every representative is purchased and placed into office by greater powers.

The laws being passed now are about punishment, profit, and control not life improvement or making life better. Many aren't even being voted on. Our politicial system has become a hate-filled mess, filled with fear, filled with lies and corruption and run by narcissists. We are long over due for a change.

People have stood up against evil in America's history before. It's definitely time to do so again. We need some major changes to this system. We need people who have brighter visions of the future too. We need to tell the narcissists and sociopaths, no more.

Going Apolitical?

Politics is a dead end to me. The system is too corrupt. I was reading Thomas Merton's Seven Story Mountain, found this quote, and went to find a meme of it. Politics is the Truman Show. They lie to us just about everything. It is games of money and power. I have no money or power so what can I do? I probably will still talk about politics on here and elsewhere especially if things get even crazier, but how come only a slim margin of people have figured out the system doesn't care about us?

The Democratic party went illiberal long ago supporting authoritarianism, censorship, Covid-crack downs, vaxx mandates, and other insane things as I wrote about on here multiple times. That said, I'm too poor and disabled to become a Republican. Trump just seems to want to smash the Constitution into little pieces. It's a rerun of the usual, giving more tax money to rich billionaires, who seem to want to destroy society in their greed. Neither party represents me or my interests. I will admit on here, I often voted for some Democrats based on my disability needs but that got harder and harder. Things got complicated as I agreed with Democrats on SOME issues and Republicans TOO on others. I simply don't fit either party.

The other week I observed a protest, I used to go protest against Trump and wrote about that here. This was the "Hands Off" protest against Trump. My husband wanted to protest. I didn't, we were on the way to somewhere else.

I told him, "I will stay in the car". We had a front row seat to a local protest. He parked on a front street corner, so I had a first-hand view.  He then took his place on our main street, as I stayed in the car. I took some pictures to entertain myself. I'm glad I sat things out because the protest while I agreed with a few things about Musk the trillionaire, and "Hands Off" Social Security, the usual litany of Ukraine and pro-trans flags predominated.  Things were much simpler years ago. That was before Covid, the world, and Democratic party went insane. That was before I realized I no longer fit in with whatever liberalism is today.

Where were these people when we were being smashed down by Covid and seeing endless freedom destroyed? Where were they then? It made all the signs about freedom kind of ironic to me. 'There were times I wanted to go out in the streets in a rage during Covid, even with signs protesting giving experimental vaccines to kids. Back then, I looked for fellow Covid protesters but all I found was a Mom's for Liberty club that cared more about banning books than Covid vaxxes.

Will I have to go out in the streets in the future if they cancel Social Security and do even worse? Maybe. Who is there to protest to? Hmm that's a thought. "Vote them out!" seems to be a dead end, when the people you don't want always win.

What about the things I agreed with Republicans on, like ending Ukraine war-[not sure if it has been yet], or ending of mandates or the second amendment?  Trump has crossed many lines that bothered me from Supreme Court rulings that gave him immunity to the insanity of sending citizens to foreign prisons like El Salvador. The government in my opinion is turning totalitarian as a whole, it started long ago. Maybe all governments go rogue with time.

Americans had it better than most in world history. That may be over.  I warned about NDAA, the Patriot Act and black box prisons years ago, it's not so far of a stretch that all the powers given the administrative branch by Bush and Obama, are now being used by the next president in line. The black box prisons now are overseas. They know it's too far for most people to reach to help their family member.

The protests are all controlled. I noticed the messaging was all dictated by the Soros group, "Move on" with the "Hands Off" message, and "No Kings" message for a later protest. That kind of bugged me. Like people have to be told what to protest about. I was bothered as the messaging seemed all scripted. Many things bothered me about the local protest I observed.

No one protested the economy or cost of living or groceries, or our falling standard of living! No one cared about Gaza [I only saw one sign] or Yemen! There was not one anti-war sign in the mix! [not even one "No war with Iran".]  I looked around and had husband drive around a bit to see if I could find some fellow vax genocide protesters or some way-ward fellow anti-war people but didn't find any. I would have gone to talk to them.  There were some protests for women's rights and defending trans rights. Not one mention of Covid or what was done during Covid. Some remained masked even now. One guy carried a sign "Trump is the Antichrist", I found that amusing as there's people theorizing that now. How many American presidents are so awful, people have wondered if they are the Antichrist? I remember as a kid counting the letters in Ronald Wilson Reagan's name. There was another lady carrying a sign, "It's time to repent". One guy drove around a car with a Trump 2024 sign plastered to both sides. He was the only counter-protester.

How come reality isn't being dealt with at our protests? Maybe because those are controlled too? Think about it, the controllers don't want the real hard issues dealt with like discussing the real state of the economy. I remain in shock, that there haven't been any protests at grocery stores.  There are endless videos out there of private people talking about the economy and how bad it is. How come that's no concern at these protests?

There was at least 500-1,000 people in my small-medium sized town.  Everyone seemed to be over the age of 65-70 with some millennials scattered here and there. They were predominantly female too. There was a poster on X making jokes about the geriatric turn-out in their town.  It was a Saturday so younger working people could have been there. Our county is mostly conservative so that may explain some of the turn-out.

My husband continued his protesting, he finished up.  We said hello to a few church members of the UU church I left. I am still friendly with many at other groups and community events.

Everyone who reads here knows I see both of our main parties as one big uniparty just like most "conspiracy [reality] theorists" do. I won't say I never will protest in the street again. It could happen, if things get nuttier. If they collapse Social Security, I could be living in the street anyway. I'm too disabled to do marches or any of that. I considered being a "one woman" protest and taking some anti-war posters or one's addressing the economy. Something to think about. There was some sad irony that my husband was re-using posters from our 2016-2019 former protesting era.

In real life, after too many lost friends, and troubles, I did go more apolitical and ceased talking about politics on my personal social media. I will talk about them with good friends, on private groups and anonymously under this name. Too many people were drawing lines where they were making everyone they knew pass political litmus tests. I lost a friend for not being liberal enough even though she knew I was not a Trump supporter. I do agree with Republican friends on SOME matters or understand where they are coming from. I have one friend who is a Q supporter to friends who are very liberal and ones who share my "neither party" outlook.

This lady is on to something, when she says "I got a bridge to sell you"...She's right about the government lying to us, and the endless breaking of societal trust. She calls for treating people right again. She sees through the "divide and conquer" game.

I like her down to earth advice.

The news was making me really upset, and I was tired. Covid really changed things for me. There was this one online discussion where this one guy wrote that it was better to focus on things in life, you had some ability to make positive changes in. I thought, "That makes sense. What can I change or be involved in that will bring better things to life?" Lately it's a lot of art stuff.  Politics to me became an upsetting dead end.  I was in this continual state of anxiety, thinking about it, I struggle with poverty problems, so it's not a good mix.

Maybe some of us hit burn-out, being tired of living in outrage over crappy politicians. I believe Trump IS being used to dismantle the country, I am not sure if it is for deindustrialization or if the elites want to break the USA apart like they did with the Soviet Union. It's impossible for an average person to have all the answers. Sometimes I wish they would just LEAVE US ALONE, instead of doing things like turning off the power in Portugal and Spain. Sometimes I get funny thoughts that the politicians on both sides are such jerks, most of them, humanity would do better to go "no contact" with the lot of them.

I think ALL of them know the USA is collapsing but most Americans except maybe the poorest ones have figured it out. I'm of the mind the best way to go in life now is focusing on local community.  That's easier said than done, social division is so extreme now.  Find things to make you happy, I spent some time with one friend in that one small town I like to visit in my region this week. We need to build community again. Considering where things are going, it's imperative to focus on community ties and finding peace with people and figuring out something against the "divide and conquer" plans.
